In modern times, the main problems that the world community puts at the forefront are tasks of a social and environmental nature. Society is increasingly clearly divided into poor and rich, unemployment is growing, and the planet’s natural resources are being actively depleted. All these events have led to the need to develop social and environmental innovations that contribute to solving existing problems. Although it takes time to implement these innovations, the development of strategies is still a necessary step towards the beginning of the transformation.
An important innovation that aims to reduce the environmental burden on the world around people is the technology of solar panels. To preserve the planet’s resources, more and more people and enterprises began to switch to using solar energy for homes, businesses, and heavy industry. This source is renewable and low-cost, which helps to save the planet’s valuable resources. Another strategy to preserve the environment is the transition to car hydrogen engines (McKuin et al., 2021). Changing gasoline engines to hydrogen ones will reduce the load on the atmosphere and reduce the likelihood of global warming. In addition, the number of harmful emissions that are harmful to both people and the planet will be significantly reduced (Dimitriou et al., 2019). The production costs of such cars will be considerably lower than at the current time, allowing consumers to switch from gasoline to hydrogen fuel freely.
The introduction of social innovations is to develop strategies that will solve social problems. Thus, large enterprises such as Unilever are actively implementing a strategy of equality in the workplace (Widyastuti et al., 2019). That is, they employ people of different races, nationalities, and genders to demonstrate by their example the need to eliminate bias. In addition, many cars manufacturing companies have already started producing cars with a hydrogen engine type.
In conclusion, the need to introduce social and environmental innovations stems from the need to solve problems in the social and ecological spheres. Significant innovations are the production and introduction of solar panels for home and business use and the innovation of hydrogen engines instead of gasoline can also reduce the environmental burden. Social innovation consists in hiring employees of different races and genders and providing them with equal conditions once.
