There is no use denying the fact that every person percepts the world through the prism of his/her mother language. Taking into account a great number of different languages all over the world, it is possible to assume that many people have their own unique peculiarities of mentality which influence their culture and behavior.

Some languages have the word for the description of a certain phenomenon while other cultures do not possess it. That is why sometimes it is difficult for people, who belong to different cultures, understand each other as communication is the thing which reflects the inner world of a person. However, nowadays, due to the blistering development of globalization, people are able to get information about the culture of other men, and it is obvious that it can help to make the process of communication between them easier.

Having chosen communication as the main topic of our final paper, it was impossible not to analyze the influence which TV promotes on its development and evolution. Two articles were chosen for the paper cogitate about the same issue and underline its influence on the culture of different people.

Having read this article, it is possible to say that recognition of the great importance of TV and its power appeared. The authors of the article managed to use clear evidence and bright examples to show how information, presented with the help of TV, alters the culture of people, their beliefs, and implements new values.

The first article Culture and Communication Cultural Variations and Media Effectiveness gave me information about the way in which the appearance of TV promotes globalization and makes the process of communication between cultures easier. It should be said that recognition of the power of media, which comes after the analysis of this paper, helps to obtain a clear vision of the situation and determine the starting point from which comparison of different cultures can be initiated.

The article Television, disordered eating, and young women in Fiji: Negotiating body image and identity during rapid social change also cogitates about the issue of culture and the influence of TV on it, though it presents another perspective on the problem.

The author shows statistical data which describes how ideals of the Western world influence the mentality of people who have never seen such things before. This change of mentality can be taken as the sign that cross-cultural compunction could be easier to establish, though, at the same time, this process can lead to the loss of authenticity.

Having analyzed the given sources, it became obvious that some possible problems connected with the analysis of different patterns of communication peculiar to different cultures can appear. It could be rather difficult to look at the process of communication from both emic and etic perspectives. That is why the deep investigation of the cultures under analysis is needed. It will provide the information which will be needed for a clear analysis of the issue.

Finally, it is possible to say that being a rather complicated issue; communication also has a great number of different prejudices connected with the culture of people and their behavior. Being also influenced by these stereotypes, I should try to get rid of them and conduct a clear and credible investigation of the given aspect of culture.

With this in mind, it is possible to make a conclusion that is a rather interesting issue, communication should be investigated from different perspectives in order to obtain a clear result.
