Several factors affect the behavioral traits of human beings. These factors impact individuals making them acquire different traits and behave irrationally. Group behavior, peer influence, and role model influence can make the student adopt an irrational behavior where their decisions are controlled by certain factors. In this paper, it was observed that students in the cafeteria came in as distinct groups and were dressed up to emulate the players in the major sporting events. It was also observed that the students rarely appeared alone. The students were also found to have the latest technology devices. From these observations, the researcher designed an experimental model to study the factors that influence the student’s behavior.

The student’s behavior is affected by peer influence, role models, and the media.
To investigate these factors, an experiment was developed. The experiment will aim to determine the factors affecting student’s irrational behavior through questionnaires and interviews (Peter, 105). Out of the total student population, 50 students will be selected randomly and asked to fill in questionnaires. Another 15 students will be interviewed by the researcher. To conduct the research, students will be asked the following questions:
- Does the other student affect your decision?
- Does the media influence the choice of technology, meals, clothing, and other decisions you make?
- Who is your role model?
- Does your role model affect the choice of technology and clothing you use?
The above questions will enable the researcher to determine if these factors affect the behavioral attitudes among the students. to control bias, the sample will be selected randomly.
The independent variables are the students. A total of 65 students will be randomly selected.
The dependent variable
The main dependent variables are:
- Peer pressure: the study sought to determine if peer pressure affects the observed student behavior.
- Media influence: the study will justify if the student behavior is affected by the media.
- Role models: the impact of role models on student behavior will be investigated.
A correlation study will be carried out to compare and contrast the behavioral traits among the different gender groups. In this study, the researcher will observe and compare the behavior of students such as grouping together and pursuing modern trends in fashion and technology in both male and female students. It is expected that the two behaviors affect boys and girls differently.
Hypothesis statement: the behavior of students grouping and adopting modern trends in fashion and technology differs between the two gender groups.
The dependent and independent variable
A quasi-experiment will be carried out. In this experiment, the independent variable will be the two different genders, that is male and female students while the dependent variable will be the different behavioral traits such as the tendency of students to cluster together and their tendency to pursue modern trends in fashion and technology (Peter, 178)…
The research will be based on observations of the target samples. The researcher will observe the students as they come to the restaurant and determine the following:
- If students are clustered in groups.
- Whether the group is made of boys or girls.
- Whether individuals have modern technology devices such as mobile phones and laptops.
- Whether the students are wearing modern attire based on the current fashion trends.
After collecting the data, the researcher will then group the information into the two gender categories. After this classification, the researcher will carry out a comparative study. This will enable him to determine whether the behaviors of students grouping and adopting modern trends differs between the male and females.
