Introduction
Leadership is a process of communication and management that requires many skills. Abilities are related to listening and understanding other people, assessing the situation, and finding the best solution. Leadership is complex work because people’s nature and behavior in a social environment are unique, and this is a normal phenomenon. As part of an interview with Leadership Texarkana’s Executive Director Ellen Ruth, I reflected on my role.
Discussion
The interview sought to establish leadership, which is made up of resources and capabilities. Ellen Ruth remembers how she has come a long way before she found a business that brings her pleasure (E. W. Ruth, personal communication, n.d.). I liked how she expressed her ideas and spoke freely about her experiences. Ellen Ruth mentions the current conditions in the U.S.: it is hard to get things done at first (E. W. Ruth, personal communication, n.d.). Confidence, hard work, and healthy self-esteem make up a big part of self-actualization, but it is imperative that leaders can talk about it. Without support from people who have had any experience as a leader, achieving a developed society is hard.
There will be more teams of a few strong leaders who will introduce changes into society. It will be leaders capable of dialogue that can lead humanity to progress and development. Ellen Ruth is right when she talks about joining forces as the only possible way to improve the current situation (E. W. Ruth, personal communication, n.d.). I see my role now as an opportunity to help the community and improve myself. The main point is to find and use a source of opportunity wisely.
Conclusion
Thus, within the framework of my reflections, I have concluded that good communication with people is one of the significant roles of leaders. Joining capabilities, thinking together, and directing society for the better will be achieved through robust and sane leadership. I want to be a strong leader and help people feel comfortable and receive all the socially meaningful benefits, and I will gradually achieve it.
