Gunderson Lutheran Health System has a set of social and cultural values that govern its operations. Top management, which includes medical governors, board of trustees, and administrators, has the role of enacting ethical values on the subordinate staff (Stedman & Adams-Pope, 2019). Top managers are a critical part of the talent development review due to their ability to integrate financial resources into improving efficiency in health services. Additionally, the administrators give guidance on work ethics, such as teamwork, loyalty, and self-discipline, a tool that was critical in building the tiered model.
The Leadership leverage program at Gunderson Lutheran Health facility was a complex task due to the series of steps involved and the dynamic nature of administrators. The tiered model, which acts as a blueprint for leadership competencies, took an ideal time to prepare. However, five years were too long; two years was a perfect time since it addressed the character traits of people in diverse leadership positions in the hospital. Project completion time may vary based on how activities are handled. According to Soga et al. (2022), the delegation of tasks reinforces teams. Thus, devolving tasks among the talent development group would reduce the time needed to complete the program.
Publicizing the high-potential talent (high-pos) to the rest of the organization is an act of motivation. Leaders should adopt ways of motivating their employees for the achievement of an organization’s goals (Stedman & Adams-Pope, 2019). Therefore, since the talent development review group at Gunderson Lutheran Health System vetted the employees fairly, publicizing the successful pool members would help the rest identify areas for improvement. For an unsuccessful candidate with a positive mindset, knowing the selected high-pos would act as their behavioral assessment tool for the required competencies. As HR personnel, I would let the names serve as inspirational tools for the rest at Gunderson Lutheran Health System.
