Abstract
Leaders should possess the best competencies to achieve their potentials. Human beings can address their problems using various leadership skills. Every student can acquire useful skills from his or her mentors. Such traits will make every learner successful in life. This essay describes the lessons gained from our leadership class.
Lessons Learned from Leadership Class
I have acquired numerous skills in our leadership class. To begin with, our professor has been very inspirational. Our professor has encouraged us to fight for ourselves. Our professor has encouraged us to make powerful decisions in life. The teacher encourages every student to learn from his or her mistakes. The teacher uses her experience to guide different students. This practice has made it easier for us to achieve the best goals. I have understood the importance of teamwork. These concepts can make many students competent caregivers.
I have also acquired timeless ideas from our teacher. Our professor has always been strict. She always encouraged us to manage our time properly. I have understood how to manage my activities and schedules. These practices can make every person successful in life. The concept of self-awareness can support the needs of many people. I have also gained new concepts that can make me successful. Every caregiver should focus on his or her career goals. This approach will result in self-actualization. I will always work hard to achieve my career goals. I will always use these concepts to mentor my friends.
This leadership class has also equipped me with new writing skills. I am now able to write smoothly and correctly. I have also embraced the power of continuous learning. This practice will make it easier for me to achieve most of the learning goals. I am currently reading more books and articles to become a competent Nurse Leader (NL). I have also improved my writing skills. I will use my writing skills to complete different research studies in the future.
Our professor encourages every student to see things from different angles. This approach also promotes the concept of critical thinking. A critical thinker is always ready to deal with various challenges. The individual will also be able to make evidence-based decisions. Every employee should be ready to promote diversity. Every individual should also become a change agent in his or her organization. I will use these competencies in my working environment. I have also understood how to use the 33000 feet rule. This rule encourages more individuals to analyze every situation. The other practice is dealing with various situations competently. These skills will make me a successful caregiver.
I have also gained new nursing skills. For example, our professor uses powerful anecdotes that can make nursing a meaningful practice. I have also become a good communicator. I have also been using these new skills to interact with different individuals. I can now deal with various organizational problems. These new nursing competencies will make me a team player. I will also use these skills to empower my workmates. These competencies will make it easier for me to offer evidence-based support to many patients. Most of the ideas and lessons obtained from our leadership class will make me a competent healthcare practitioner. I will also use such concepts to address the challenges affecting my career objectives. The practice will eventually make me a successful caregiver.
