The bandwagon technique has been traditionally used with products that have a high level of brand memory. For instance, McDonald’s company is one of the companies that have traditionally used the approach to attract more customers. A good example is the advertisement captioned “McDonald’s, over 99 billion served.”
The phrase has been used on print media and billboards across the world, and its main purpose is to tell potential customers that they need to join the 99 billion customers that have embraced the brand and the associated products.
This approach is quite effective in creating a positive appeal on various products because most people have a strong desire to be part of a trend in the market. Additionally, it is a technique that cannot be validated; hence, it creates a propaganda that cannot be challenged.
