Statement of the Project

This project will analyze the application of safety management systems (also referred to as SMSs) in a bid to create a safe and peaceful environment where members of the military and the civilian can carry on with their activities without necessarily interfering with the other party.

The project is more of a correlation analysis that seeks to establish a balance in the aviation industry by ensuring normal operations are undertaken while at the same time trying to reduce or minimize risks posed to individuals (whether members of the military personnel or civilian population). It will also ensure that the proposal does not pose any potential harm to humans.

The author will adopt concrete data analysis procedures to break down the structural forms of authority as portrayed in the aviation sector as well as indicate the flow of power. This is together with how the different agencies tend to supplement the work of a related agency as well as occasions where a crash of interests is eminent.

Simplicity in presentation will as well ensure that the identified proposals can be easily understood by their potential implementers. Such diagrams will also show the relationship or link between the activities carried out by the various agencies entrusted with the responsibility of controlling and regulating the aviation industry.

The findings of the project will also be availed to concerned parties in different forms which will include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint Slides as well as Microsoft Excel in the case of statistical data. Proper presentation of the proposals made in the project will go a long way in increasing the chances for the project’s acceptance since its objectives and purposes can be clearly defined.

Scientific Literacy

Science is also very important. The author will be able to analyze information from the scientific field. The project will analyze concepts learnt or acquired in the course of study to come up with proposals for structures and policies that can ensure the success of the measures being put in place. This is to ensure that safety is maintained on space to prevent the occurrence of accidents. The student will present and illustrate their understanding of the application of management activities to aviation operations.

The purpose of the project will be to make proposals for a safety management system. The project will be comprised of sound and manageable proposals for the purpose of promoting safety in the aviation industry. In this paper, the author looked at various aspects of the relationship between civil and military aviation. Specifically, the author looked at the safety management systems that can be adopted to promote peaceful co-existence between the two systems. To this end, the need for critical thinking, quantitative analysis, information literacy, communication literacy and scientific literacy was critically analyzed. The aim was to come up with proposals that are acceptable to the stakeholders in the aviation industry.
