Introduction
MyKasih is one of the most effective non profits making organizations that have managed to improve the lives of the people in Malaysia. The main function of MyKasih’s activities is to improve the lives of the less fortunate people in the community. The organisation is engaged in life improving activities like counseling, training various skills to the Malaysians and providing programs which promote financial literacy.
By participating in all these activities, MyKasih Foundation aims at promoting caring and loving environment among the Malysian environment and the world. In its programs, the organizations treat all the people equally. In other words, there is no discrimination based on aspects like religion, race and decent while offering these services. Every needy person has an opportunity to benefit.
MyKasih has recognized the importance of technology in its operations. For instance, it eliminates the people with the MyKad which reduces the cash transactions. People can use the MyKad in making purchases instead of using cash. This has significantly helped the people.
In order to reduce the level of poverty among the people, it ensures that the poor are not only provided with the food in the society, but also with adequate empowerment in order to improve their quality of the people’s lives.
Current situation and trends
Over the contemporary world, the level of competition among various organizations has significantly increased. MyKasih Foundation has also been faced by this competition. However, the organisation has managed to record high level of performance in its operations due to its competitiveness.
In the contemporary world, consumers can now enjoy the services of secure means in making payments for their purchases. These include the use of cards where the user is required to have a pin. This has significantly improved security while making various transactions (Vectoriselogo 2011). Therefore, most welfare organizations are forced to adapt to the new technology in order to adapt to these changes.
The main beneficiaries of the welfare programs are the less fortunate individuals in the society. These are individuals who are in high levels of poverty. The major issue is the funding of these activities. Since the industry is usually non profit, it heavily relies on the donors for funding. Therefore, an organisation that promotes high level of efficiency and transparency is the one that attracts the donors (Chin 2008).
MyKasih has managed to establish effective relationships with all its stakeholders and donors. Such effective relations have significantly contributed to the efficiency in various operations in which the organisation is engaged in. According to Chin (2008), maintenance of a good relationship between organizations can significantly determine its competitive advantage.
As already noted, MyKasih is a nonprofit making organisation. Therefore, the organisation heavily relies on the donors in funding its activities in the society. MyKasih has managed to establish a good relationship with its donors who therefore entrusts the organisation with their contributions (MyKasih 2011).
The organizations have built its reputation by practicing transparency and honesty in its operations. There are therefore low chances of misusing the entrusted fund. This encourages the donors to provide firm support for the organization’s activities. MyKasih Foundation also works with various welfare agencies in carrying out its activities in the community.
MyKasih is one of the most competitive organizations in the region. Its competitiveness is based on its technologically improved mechanism of offering services to the beneficiaries. The organisation has integrated the new generation welfare programme and system, the fact which has distinguished its services from those provided by other organizations.
By the use of epetro’s system of payment, people can choose what they need from the shop and pay for the goods and pay for the same without necessarily exchanging cash with hands. This is one of the main improvements in the industry.
However, most of the organisation in the industry has not managed to employ the recent technology in their services for their beneficiaries. This has won MyKasih a competitive advantage over other organizations. The cad issued to one of the member of the family or the beneficially can also be used in paying school fees, buying uniform or any other essential goods. In other words, MyKasih foundation has managed to provide more efficient services compared to other organizations in the industry.
In its practices, MyKasih has worked in close relationship with partners like the Lions Club. The Lions Club, for instance, has significantly helped the organisation in selection of the recipient families.
Objectives and measures of MyKasih Foundation
As already noted, the main objective of MyKasih is improving the quality of lives fort the poor in the society despite of their race, gender, or any other aspects. This is done through promotion of a loving and caring environment in Malysian and all over the world.
The organisation applies specific universal criteria in identifying the recipient families. This criterion ensures that only the deserving families receive the services. The housewife of the family that is identified is usually credited with a bi monthly allowance which is usually deposited in MyKad account (Chin Humanity Foundation 2011).
In other words, every family is expected to select one representative. Then some allowance is deposited in individual’s MyKad every month. The selected individuals are then supposed to make purchases of essential goods on specific shops. The MyKad are used in making the payments for the purchased goods in this case (ePetro 2011).
One of the most supportive organizations that has sponsored MyKasih organisation is AmBank (Metro 2009). This organisation has entrusted MyKasih with its donations based on its performance in eliminating poverty in the society.
MyKasih has also differed from other organizations in many other different aspects. For instance, the organisation has managed to provide efficient solution to ensure that approximately a hundred percent of the donations reach the beneficiaries.
Lit has managed to achieve this by facilitating efficiency in it operations, which has helped in maintaining transparency as well as minimizing operational costs. MyKasih has also managed to overcome the problem of misuse especially through expenditure on things like alcohol and cigarettes. This has guaranteed the donors that their grants are used in the bright way. This has significantly motivated the donors.
Conclusion
It is clear that MyKasih has a significant role in Malysian. This organisation has significantly contributed in improving the lives of the people in the community. This organisation has emphasized on empowering the less fortunate in the community in order to help them come out of poverty.
Through its activities, the organisation has managed to break the chain of poverty in the society. Unlike in many organizations that tend to be partial, MyKasih has managed to maintain impartiality in its operations. These attributes has helped the organization in the support from its donors and other human welfare agencies.
