Proposed Management Plan
Outdoor Adventure Paintball Park has the potential to achieve its business objectives. The business has attracted many customers within the past few years. It also offers competitive packages to its clients. However, the organization is currently experiencing a number of challenges. For instance, many employees do not have specific roles. Scheduling has been a major problem in this business. Some functions and games have even been cancelled due to poor planning.
Workplace mistakes have become common in this organization. These issues have discouraged more customers from purchasing the facility’s services. The leaders have different views regarding the challenges affecting the facility. This situation might have numerous impacts on Outdoor Adventure’s business performance. The Management Plan (MP) presented below will make it easier for Carl, John, and John to run the park smoothly.
Business Analysis: Strengths and Weaknesses
The “four functions of management make it possible for business organizations to realize their objectives within a specified time-frame” (Daft & Marcic, 2012, p. 37). This park has designed powerful activities and games for different customers. This family-friendly park also promotes sustainable business practices. The partners have hired more workers to support the needs of different customers. The issue of safety is also taken seriously in this organization. Many customers have been getting quality services and entertainments from this park. The three partners wanted to start a successful business. They soon forgot the critical aspects and practices that can make a business successful. The above approaches cannot support the park’s future goals.
Outdoor Adventure Paintball Park does not embrace the strengths of the four functions of management. This malpractice has continued to affect the park’s performance. The partners failed to not design a powerful business plan. The business lacks an effective mission statement. The employees do not have a vision to guide their practices. The park does not have appropriate strategies to support the best outcomes. The stakeholders and workers do not understand the targeted organizational objectives. These weaknesses might affect the park’s future performance. The park does not embrace the power of effective organizational culture (Anderson & Brown, 2010).
For instance, Carl and John have failed to establish a powerful organizational design. This weakness has made it impossible for different individuals to focus on the best outcomes. The organizational culture of this park is not clearly defined. The workers do not understand how to achieve the best goals. Some practices such as teamwork are not embraced in this organization (Daft & Marcic, 2012).
The third “managerial function is leading” (Daft & Marcic, 2012, p. 19). Outdoor Adventure Paintball Park does not have a proper leadership process. Carl manages his duties alone. He does not collaborate with John and Joe. This malpractice has affected the park’s performance. The absence of groups and teams continue to affect the level of leadership in the organization. The employees are rarely motivated. Sometimes they focus on the wrong goals because of poor delegation. The level of communication in the park is also questionable.
These weaknesses have continued to affect the organization’s competiveness. The issue of controlling is also taken lightly in this organization. The park lacks “proper processes and strategic human resources” (Daft & Marcic, 2012, p. 76). This malpractice explains why the park might never achieve the best performance standards.
Proposed Mission
To provide quality experiences and entertainments that can result in greater lifestyle benefits.
This mission seeks to inform the public about the quality services and gaming opportunities availed to different customers. The facility will also promote the best exercises in order to improve the lifestyles of the targeted customers.
Appropriate Management Model
A powerful managerial approach is required in this organization. Outdoor Adventure Park has some of the best opportunities. The presence of three business partners makes it easier for the park to achieve its potentials. That being the case, a Collaborative Management Model (CMM) will ensure the three leaders focus on the best outcomes. This leadership approach eliminates the issue of hierarchy.
The three individuals will always come together in order to address the challenges affecting the business. They will also make appropriate decisions depending on the targeted goals. Joe should also collaborate with different customers, family members, and employees in order to get the best results. This management model will encourage more employees to focus on the above mission (Daft & Marcic, 2012). The individuals will also be ready to present their views and opinions. The organization will embrace the best practices such as combined decision-making. The important goal is to deliver quality packages to the customers.
This leadership model will produce new strengths in the organization. The presence of a powerful management model will encourage the three partners to focus on the best goals. They will set the right goals and strategies that can produce the best outcomes. They will also collect quality information from various employees in order to make accurate decisions. They will also “analyze the opportunities and weaknesses that might affect the business in the future” (Anderson & Brown, 2010, p. 15). The concept of “positive organization will also become meaningful in this park” (Anderson & Brown, 2010, p. 15).
The leaders will develop a proper structure that focuses on the best goals. The right individuals will be allowed to perform various duties. Carl Thomas will also create a powerful organizational team. The team will “inspire the best actions and skills that can produce the targeted organizational objectives” (Caliskan, 2010, p. 104). The individuals should also use this model to assign various roles. They should also schedule various responsibilities in order to satisfy the needs of every customer. Such practices will eventually make the park more profitable.
This management model also supports the roles of different business partners. The three leaders can undertake various roles. Such roles will ensure the park is on the right direction. They should also “present their opinions to one another” (Caliskan, 2010, p. 104). This approach will address the challenges affecting the organization. They will also identify new opportunities that can improve the performance of the park. A less-hierarchical managerial structure empowers more stakeholders (Caliskan, 2010). Such individuals will identify appropriate decisions that can produce the targeted results.
Roles and Responsibilities of Different Individuals
Carl Thomas has the relevant knowledge in business management. He understands the best managerial practices and strategies that can deliver the targeted objectives. He also wants to have a good future. These attributes explains why he should be given the role of an Executive Manager. This position will make it easier for him to identify the best visions and business objectives. He will also oversee various organizational activities such as scheduling, organizing, and planning (Caliskan, 2010).
He will also collaborate with Joe and Uncle John. Carl will also recruit the best employees who can complete specific technical tasks. His first assignment will be to recruit an accountant, a supervisor, and a HR assistant. It will be appropriate for John to take the position of a Quality Assurance (QA) manager. This job will encourage him to focus on the quality of different events. He will also monitor the activities undertaken by different customers. He will collect feedbacks from different stakeholders and forward them to the leadership team (Dragnic, 2014). John will also focus on the best approaches in order to improve the park’s services.
Joe has been an athletic trainer. This knowledge and expertise explains why he should become the park’s Operations Manager (OM). He will be required to complete various tasks in the organization. For instance, he will be guiding most of the customers and employees. Joe will also be in charge of training activities in the organization. He will also become the link between the management and the employees. He will equip them with the most appropriate competencies in order to support the needs of more customers. Joe will also ensure the park’s performance is in accordance with the targeted standards (Dragnic, 2014). He will also promote the best corrective strategies. He will devise appropriate performance standards that can increase the park’s revenues.
The facility will recruit more employees to support the targeted goals. For instance, the accountant will focus on the park’s financial issues. The Human Resource (HR) assistant will present the challenges of different employees and customers to the Quality Assurance Manager (Caliskan, 2010). The appointed supervisor will monitor the duties of every employee. These individuals will be required to work as a team in order to achieve the best goals. The above roles and responsibilities will eventually make Outdoor Adventure Paintball Park successful.

Balanced Scorecard for Outdoor Adventure Paintball Park
A business organization can use a powerful Balanced Scorecard to achieve its goals. The targeted scorecard for this park should focus on four major areas. The first area is aimed at promoting the best financial practices. The accountant will manage different resources and finances in order to improve the park’s financial success. The practice will also ensure the firm focuses on its vision. The second area should support the needs and expectations of the targeted customers. The Customer Perspective (CP) will ensure the organization addresses the needs of its customers (Anderson & Brown, 2010). The firm will collect numerous feedbacks from different consumers. This practice will improve the quality of services availed to the targeted customers.
The third aspect should focus on the facility’s internal processes. The managers should define the best goals and objectives. Such practices will eventually improve the quality of services delivered to different customers. The “fourth aspect of the scorecard should improve the level of learning” (Caliskan, 2010, p. 105).
The organization can introduce new training programs and leadership practices. The employees should be mentored using powerful incentives and remunerations. A positive organizational culture will encourage the employees to interact with one another (Daft & Marcic, 2012). The workers will exchange their skills in order to achieve the best outcomes. The level of communication in the park will increase significantly. These strategies will eventually make Outdoor Adventure Paintball Park successful.
