Currently, I am studying Animal Science, and my preferred field of work is veterinary. Specializing will help me achieve my vision of caring, controlling, preventing, and treating animals’ diseases. It will also help me learn about contemporary research, including food security, ethical issues, and the industry’s environmental impact. The area has a significant advantage since it can enable me to identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information, especially in the modern world where studies about animals are more advanced.
My most substantial strengths are critical thinking and technical expertise. These qualities have helped me in getting to interpret data and analyze it amicably. Since my preferred area of work is veterinary, science is crucial in disease control. One of the values I portray is caring for the animals and welfare in general as they also have a sense of belonging hence the need to care for them. My career interests are understanding animals’ nature in depth and having other alternative measures to help them co-exist within our environment.
I intend to find a solution to animal torture, antibiotic misuse in managing infection in animals, and steroids in meat production. My focus is to encourage interbreeding to have better species with improved qualities and behaviors, hence better yield, instead of relying on hormonal treatments and antibiotics. I also plan to advocate for animal welfare and adherence to ethical codes in scientific experiments. I will also ensure that only mature animals are slaughtered to have high-quality tenderized meat for consumption.
The impact that I would have in this field is ensuring high-quality livestock products. By advocating for proper medication and feeding the animals by farmers, I believe that yield will improve. I will also encourage animal welfare to ensure ethical issues in livestock production are adhered to and lead to quality production. Moreover, improving diversity, especially on the control use of antibiotics and other treatments against disease, will also add value to livestock farming.
A professional image is a significant way of portraying oneself based on the industry’s reputation, attitude, and appearance. Also, modes of dressing, how you respond to people and how you act matter. A good perspective about the work area often matters too. Having a good image is useful as the company gets to earn your trust fast enough. I aspire to use correct manners, etiquette, groom well, and communicate effectively.
My professional field often calls for standards that are reinforced by the management to ensure there is good work ethics and bring up proper behavior amongst the employees. These work ethics makes the company meet standards and have disciplined employees hence an organized and harmonious workplace. Most companies reward heavily employees who follow the work ethics to the latter. Motivation enables employees to keep good morals within the organization. The need for these standards has often encouraged me to learn about personal qualities and images.
Empathy and honesty are the leading personal values I want others to understand about me. Having good personal values and good characteristics sets better grounds for being a good employee because it is what the employers look for in this field. Other qualities I would want people to get from the work I do are being dependable, responsible, and able to grow towards my goals, self-confidence with a positive attitude, and a clear mindset.
The main thing that I cannot do is to change my religion to adopt other beliefs based upon the company’s interest. I also cannot go against human rights, especially issues touching even gender and racial discrimination. When such offers present, I can reject or address them by commenting on my thoughts about the uneasiness. Most organizations that tend to participate in such matters do not have good employee productivity.
Self-management, enterprising, interpersonal communication, discipline, and technical expertise are some of the professional elements of the network I already possess. My field of study entails building solid relationships with other people within the professional line, being good at communication skills, and managing conflicts in the work area. Being someone who can create work and have resilience in times of trouble and challenges is vital for this profession. Additionally, enterprising and initiative skills are significant in promoting an organization and creating new ideas worth venturing into.
Authenticity will be a beneficial act to develop as a professional network member. The skill is vital because it deals with genuine interests in helping other people. It is fun assisting others, and in this way, I get to meet lots of people leading to more relationships. Being trustworthy and genuine is also essential in managing most of the organization’s crucial activities that demand clarity, originality, and quality work.
I can offer job leads, recommendations, and ideas about the way around the profession. I can also provide help with work-related problems and provide information about clients, employers, and employees. Networking is what the professional members do to help others as much as possible in extending people’s job reach. They lift each other by sharing what they learn from observations and experience in the field.
