Personality tests are tests that are to determine some of the unique characteristics that a person possesses. This is because each and every person is unique in one way or the other and; therefore, these tests can establish this uniqueness through analyzing some personal attributes about a person.

Personal tests usually involve a series of questions with multiple options that a person can use as the answer and in most cases; there is no right or wrong answers. The personality test tested by the questions below aims at analyzing several unique traits about an individual.

These include the person’s preferred work environment, the nature of job they might be interested in, their emotional stability, and their capability to sit and reflect upon things. Other traits include their approach to life in terms of whether or not they are outgoing, their interests in philosophical debates, their approach to decision making, and their perception to strangers and other people in general (Personality Net).

This personality test is crucial as far as the field of psychology is concerned because psychology deals with analyzing human behavior in an effort to establish how individuals think, their emotional characteristics and how they might react to various situations.

For this reason, psychology has found application in many areas including, mental health analysis, career appraisal techniques and treatment of various conditions (Janda, 41). From the definition of psychology, it follows then that this test relates to psychology as it aims at analyzing certain characteristics about an individual.

This is in an effort to establish a link between an individual’s potential behavior including how they think, how they would react to certain situations, their perception of other people, their perception towards work, and many other aspects that are unique to an individual and form the basis of their behavior in certain situations (Personality Net).

When it comes to personality tests, the credibility of the tests is a key factor when determining their real life applications. Personality tests are credible if they meet certain threshold depending on the personality issues that they are attempting to test (Carter, 59).

Some of the aspects that can be used to analyse a test’s credibility include: whether or not the test has covered all the relevant areas of the person’s life that might influence their personality and the inclusiveness of the option accorded to the respondent. Another crucial aspect is if the test can apply the respondent’s response effectively for the purpose of analyzing their personalities (Carter, 62).

This test is credible since it seeks to establish a person’s behavior from various perspectives, and it is this multifaceted approach that affirms its credibility. Moreover, the test efficiently applies the use of the response given by the respondent for the purpose of analyzing their personalities.

Some of the strong points about the test is the fact that it applies the use of a significant number of questions in order to analyse a person’s personality, and this inclusiveness is an indispensable part of a personality test. In addition to that, the test’s questions touch on various aspects of a person’s life thus analyzing their personality from different angles.

The weak points of the test would perhaps be the fact that it does not offer a lot of options in terms of respondents’ responses and this limits its effectiveness. Furthermore, the test does not apply the use of any open ended questions in its analysis thus making it inflexible.
