Photography has evolved into a universal language and artistry that never ceases to astonish a society that is yearning for connection. Since photography is a quick-paced creative medium, it attracts me because of its artistic components, and I enjoy looking at images. The diversity and liberty that photography offers also pique my interest. By pressing the shutter button, a photographer can have 365 days vastly distinct from one another (Hogan, 2022). Another factor that makes photography intriguing is that it provides a rationale and chance for traveling to and capturing stunning sites worldwide. The ability and inspiration to look intently, pay attention, engage, and perceive to understand the world is often provided through photography, another one of its attractive qualities. It is intriguing because it leads me down surprising paths and broadens my perception by illuminating fresh discoveries and stories that aid in my comprehension of the world and my place in it.
I have delved into a broad range of visual arts, but photography fascinates me the most because of how much it can say in just one picture. Even the simplest and basic image contains a story. Food and still-life photography interests me also because it’s a good way of creating beauty for others. If one photographs a meal at a restaurant, the pictures will not be that appealing, but with the perfect setting, styling, and careful composition, the same food can be transformed into something that evokes strong emotions, forges a relationship with the viewer, and conveys a story of a time, or place, or culture. Photography is interesting since it helps keeps memories alive and prosperous because it freezes a scene that lasts forever. In capturing moments of importance and beauty, photography helps one revisit memories in a way otherwise impossible.
