Modern world has been experiencing various political conflicts for several decades already. Countries from different parts of the world tend to find themselves in difficult situations, where the economic system is going into a collapse and the politicians cannot take it under control. This normally brings very negative results. Depending on the time it takes the political leaders of the country to fix the situation or at least create an illusion of fixing it, the social tension in the country starts to grow and mass dissatisfaction has a chance to occur.
This is a brief description of some of the causes that served as the basis for the disorders that are being observed on the territory of Ukraine. For several months the revolution in the country has been bringing people to the gathering, meetings, and actions of protest, which often resulted as massive fights with many victims. In the very beginning of the strike the politicians avoided addressing the conflict. The demands of the public were not met, as a result the level of aggression in the society grew, and the situation got worse. Several attempts to take the revolution and mass disorders under control were not successful. The President’s best reaction to this complicated issue was a quick escape.
Several months after that the country is in even worse condition, the national army is fighting the protesters in the South-East using tanks, battle helicopters and machine guns. The country is unofficially divided into two conflicting sides with absolutely different views, desires and ideologies. The leaders of both sides pursue very different political interests. For the last decade, since the times of orange revolution, Ukraine has experienced the occurrence and development of many new political movements. The elections and re-elections happened more often than they were supposed to. As a result, people of Ukraine started to feel indifferent and fed up with political issues. Another unplanned President Election that happened there last month showed voter fatigue due to the fact that some of the significant leading political parties were gone, the electorates could not participate in retrospective voting. The political information spread in the conflicting parts of Ukraine is not trustworthy. Both sides are using propaganda and shift the facts in order to make them more convenient and support the interests they pursue.
The appearance of the new president of Ukraine does not seem to be helpful in the process of conflict resolution. The elections were ignored in the South-Eastern regions of the country; this is why people there do not recognize the President, elected by their ideological rivals. Besides, the newly elected Petro Poroshenko is accused of being a political entrepreneur, since he is a well-known business man in Ukraine, who owns large companies. According to some of the opinions, the new President of Ukraine is an exact copy of the ex-President, who was corrupted and preoccupied with accumulation of money and income instead of fixing the situation in his country and its economy. Another unbelievably wealthy man is in charge of the country. It may be possible that Ukrainian people just chose to trust one oligarch instead of another.
