Introduction

Social media, made possible by the rise of digital media, is now an integral part of everyday life and culture. The importance of social media to modern business cannot be overstated. As a result of the widespread impact of social media, several methods have been created to more effectively serve consumers’ demands and requirements. This study investigates how the rise of innovative social media marketing tools is influencing end-user satisfaction and health. The research primarily focuses on marketing and demonstrates the significance of social media users’ thoughts, preferences, and activities. Concepts such as privacy, mental health, narcissism, and the importance of interpersonal connections are examined.

Privacy

The privacy of users’ information is a significant issue regarding the security and use of social media platforms. Many users are persuaded to provide personally identifiable information (such as their location, name, dislikes, interests, age range, and gender) in exchange for a better user experience on social media and mobile apps (Jozani 106260). Manufacturers then use this data to create more relevant goods for individual buyers. When information is utilized for a legitimate purpose, creeping is ethical; however, in this case, it is inappropriate because the data is not being retrieved with the user’s knowledge or agreement.

An application for the mined data is the creation of targeted adverts. Big data and corporations take the practice of “creeping” seriously while protecting users’ personal information and privacy. The data is securely stored and shielded from intrusion by hackers and other forms of online danger (Jozani 106260). Businesses need to be aware of what customers enjoy and dislike about their products and services to personalize marketing for those customers. In addition, products should fulfill the consumers’ specifications. Companies can use this information to predict consumer future consumption and purchasing tendencies. With this information, businesses will be able to better cater to the needs of their customer base, resulting in increased revenue.

Mental Health

When analyzing the effectiveness of social media marketing tools, it is essential to consider the potential effects these tools may have on their users’ mental health. The use of social media has been related to a variety of mental health problems, including depression, in several different studies. Despite the well-known negative repercussions of social media overuse, especially TikTok, research has demonstrated some benefits to these limitations (He et al.). Using digital platforms in moderation can positively affect productivity and health; for instance, monetary gains can be obtained from marketing Tik Tok mental relaxation, personal development, and learning platform content.

TikTok’s dramatic growth in popularity can partly be traced back to the platform’s assurance that original content creators will earn from their work. TikTok content has the potential to grow swiftly because of the large following that one may gather in a short period (He et al.). This element is accurate regardless of whether the content was produced by an up-and-coming artist or a seasoned professional. One may make a living simply off the content they create and publish online. A way of doing this is entering into contracts with companies to host their adverts if one has a substantial following on their channel. Another is when TikTok’s marketing platforms use the subscribers’ user data they collect to deliver a more personalized service to users by customizing the products and services they offer.

Narcissism

One is identified as a narcissist if the frequency at which they post their selfies on social media sites is high. With the rise in the number of online social media platforms, an increase in narcissism can be seen in modern society. Now more than ever, there has been an upsurge in persons whose primary drive is to grab the attention of others and be commended. This behavior is considered social misconduct, yet it can be a strength, given that specific job profiles are related to traits highly demonstrated by narcissism. Narcissists are more attracted to business roles than other personalities for their societal image (Harms et al. 170). Rather than being harmful, modest narcissism has been related to; higher performance in highly competitive positions and success in corporate organizations.

A narcissist is fiercely competitive, which can be advantageous in business, particularly in the marketing division. According to the study, these individuals are alienated from neuroticism, sorrow, and depression, which are closely related to poor performance at work. People with this trait tend to be extraverted and able to make friends easily, which is highly recommended to be employed in marketing if one wants to advance in status. They are endearing and skilled at portraying their best self to potential clients (Harms et al. 170). These people essentially exploit their technology to increase their influence by shooting selfies. Long-term success in the corporate world depends on this quality, which is not vain when used in moderation.

Interpersonal Relationship

Until the COVID-19 pandemic, few realized how important the human touch is. Human beings suffered from the lack of human contact caused by long-term social isolation and many lockdowns due to implementing policies to control the spread of the epidemic. The emergence of robots and social media platforms helped to mitigate the associational and social void that the lockdowns had created. Robots have the advantage of not getting tired or bored and are therefore encouraged to be emotional support for the elderly. However, their use should be controlled to prevent them from replacing human connections.

Robots can benefit the vulnerable and assist healthcare personnel by performing home tasks for extended periods while still monitoring clients. Robots trained to recognize distress in their clients respond appropriately by giving hugs for reassurance or nagging their clients to relieve stress and boredom (Maalouf 590). Most models can engage in deep conversation with their subjects and remind them of important events like taking medications and exercising. These have the extra benefit of always being accessible, which builds a sense of reliability. In turn, artificial intelligence learns from increased user contact.

Conclusion

Social media has thus been shown to have numerous advantages in advancing human interactions and financial gain. From the responsible use of user data by companies to enhance forecasts of consumer trends to maximize production and create influential advertisements, social media has played the most crucial role in business growth. Social media has also been helpful in self-branding and connecting people in situations where physical contact has been compromised. On the other hand, the vulnerable have used robots to alleviate boredom and stress. In this view, social media should have more research attributed to its positive attributes to influence more to accept its use and integration in their daily lives
