The opening text must be larger and easier to read. The landscape used in the blog must enable easy reading. Most bloggers prefer to use Arial. The need for writers to market the work they do is one reason to keep a blog, and this applies to students too. Blogs enable students to share their work, views and messages. Additionally, it allows them engage in discussions on class topics. Blogs market the student if they function as virtual curriculum vitae. Additionally, blogs can expose the students to readers, agents and publishers.

Students in writing class can also earn money through the blogs they keep. This is possible through affiliate programmes. The people who visit the student’s blog are likely to follow their connections and purchases. Keeping blogs can also benefit students by acting as a support and motivation center. Writing students can develop relationships through blogs, communicate and motivate others to pursue their writing careers. Finally, keeping a blog allows students in a writing class do what they are passionate about-writing.

My success as a writing student came through the interactions I had on the blog I had set up. The main feature of the blog was visibility and the ability of the site to catch the attention. The title was bold and the whole content was broken using sub-headings and bullets. The presentation was clear and that enabled other students to make more suggestions. The blog was on economics and finance in the United States. One of my posts read “Does the United States need more inflation” posted in March. The title was clear and the post was broken down into three sub-headings namely the U.S economy, Inflation and Unemployment in the U.S and The Philip’s Curve. The post raised a lot of constructive discussion with some agreeing while others disagreed, both giving their reasons.
