In one of the articles, it was stated that teen pregnancy is often “associated with school dropout, suicide, and substance use” (Makhijani). The main cause of these events is depression experienced by girls who are pregnant or those who have already given birth to their child. Notably, teenage mothers may develop depressive moods because of social stigmatization, inability to study, absence of time, and many other factors.
