Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys who both obtained degrees in Business Administration head a downtown music nightclub, Club IT. This is a perfect place for people to enjoy their time in an atmosphere of fun and energy and listen to cool music. The owners hire different live rock bands and DJs. Hence, the main goal of the nightclub is to encourage people to visit their club and enjoy the renewed interior of the café.

For the successful development of the business, the owners run the office and carry out all the financial records. Lisa and Ruben spent a big amount of money on the remodeling of the nightclub design and on the creation of the atmosphere that will dispose to the open communication. However, due to the rapid development of the IT technologies Club, IT’s major objective is to create an internet community of regular Club IT goers. To do that, they decided to work out an IT strategy to make their business more beneficial. As a result, Club IT has its own members’ website where the IT clubbers have the possibility to share the information concerning the events that are to place in the club or in order to organize the party. The website also contains information about IT staff, their purchases, and even the music calendar (Wiley Higher Education unpaged).

The introduction of the IT system into Club IT organizational management has contributed greatly to the promotion of the business. First of all, it is one of the most effective instruments of inviting a wider range of clients so that they can be always informed about Club IT’s recent events and operations, and communicate with web IT members In addition, the owners can gain competitive information from their customers and communicate with them as well. Hence, the Club IT managers have a greater opportunity to meet the clients’ requirements (Rainer, Kelly and Turban E. 6). Secondly, as Lisa and Ruben try to expand the membership website, they provide rewarding programs for the clients to participate in the organization’s improvement more actively. It means that the customers are involved in the setting of the main strategies of the organization. Thirdly, like all business organizations, Club IT managers undergo difficulties and financial problems and, therefore, the introduction of the IT system helped to overcome exigencies and become more competitive. Moreover, it assists in identifying the pressures and working out the plans for their elimination (Rainer, Kelly and Turban E 12). Finally, the new technological approach allowed Lisa and Ruben to employ the workers via the Internet by providing some assignments and tests.

The owners teach Club IT members how to organize and to run the business and how to use information technologies to increase profits and involve the members in Club IT management. In addition, Lisa and Ruben provide the website members with data about the computer hardware and Media platforms they use.

Owing to the fact that the hardware technologies are updated dramatically, it becomes much cheaper and faster. The problem is that Club IT’s current equipment is out of date and lags behind the world’s standards of information processing. Hence, Lisa and Ruben use Pentium 4 with 256 MB Random Access Memory. As for the hardware, they have Windows XP professional installed. There are also some problems with software introduced by Microsoft Office 2003 (Wiley Higher Education unpaged). As it can be viewed, the current technological environment needs modernization of both hardware and software (Wiley Higher Education unpaged).

Since Club IT mostly deals with serving, cooking, taking orders, escorting clients to their tables, the usual keyboard entry cannot be applied. Instead, the owners are planning to provide voice recognition software. The programs enable better cooperation within the organization. For example, such function as transcribing voice to the text will simplify the work of the wait staff, since will not need to get down the orders. Moreover, the voice recognition program improves the monitoring of the club activities (Robbins, Jennifer N. 58). As for Microsoft Office, the organization intends to install the 2007 version with open source open applications such as spreadsheets, Presentations, and Open Office Suite 2007. The introduction of this software will contribute to the improvement of the way of information storage.

Further, Club IT managers plan to create a modern image of the organization by providing a broadband connection with the customers. Such function would allow keeping in constant touch with the clients and would add to the development of information broadcasting. In addition, there is the necessity to modernize the sphere of e-commerce in order to gain a competitive advantage. It is explained by the fact that that Club IT target clients are mostly the representatives of the young generation so that they are regular users of wireless communication.

Taking into consideration the above-mentioned, it is important to focus on online shopping referring both to the suppliers and to the individual consumers and to apply new eCommerce technologies such as business-to-business and business-to-customer service (Rainer, Kelly and Turban E 164). Thus, B2B service is used for wholesale and B2C is available at the curtain official websites of the organization. With the growing importance of electronic communications, B2B services are used for establishing business relationships between the companies and further cooperation. Consequently, be means of B2B transactions Club IT may be advanced to a higher level of development (Cornel University Library Guides unpaged)

Finally, the usage of the Internet within the organizational structure is crucial since it has numerous advantages. To begin with, millions of the companies use World Wide Web all over the world, since the internet provides a wireless way of connection. Thus is of paramount importance for Club IT since by means of the website Lisa and Ruben have the possibility to communicate with their clients. For the total reformation of the technological environment of Cloud IT, the managers should plan extra expenditures. Hence, Lisa and Ruben should increase their total sales and to higher the prices for the services.

In conclusion, Club IT’s transition to the advanced technological level will faster the business processes and will attract a wider range of clientele. The organization’s projects will certainly add to the competitive advantage of the nightclub. The new strategic goals of Club IT will improve the quality of communication and the information transfer within the organization and will further the establishment of new contacts with other businesses. Moreover, new Media Platforms can have a positive influence on the overall image of Club IT.
