The National Ganga River Basin Project Case Study

Introduction

Project Description

The National Ganga River Basin Project seeks to introduce a kind of functional capacity at both, central and state level, and to offer the required portion of the support to implement the program. The World Bank Group evaluates the demands of the project and sets the dates: the approval date was May 31, 2011, and the closing date will be December 31, 2019. The total project cost that comes from the World Bank Group and other invited non-bank sources is $1556 million (The World Bank Group: Project and Operations 2011).
