Each person strives for development throughout life; therefore, training is available and necessary at any age. Many people get a profession in their early years and then improve their qualifications during practice. It is the right strategy because it allows one to maintain and enhance the skills, making the person an expert in their field. Some individuals decide to expand the boundaries of their activities to achieve lofty purposes. My main goal is to study leadership for the administration of a public, non-profit organization in cinema, in particular directing.
Since childhood, I was attracted to creative professions, and I have loved to draw and develop new ways to translate ideas. I went to various classes such as art, scene assembly, acting, and clay modeling at school. I have always tried to be the best and find my place in this activity. Later I entered the University of Cinematography, which gave me a clearer idea of ​​what I loved. There we were told about the various roles in the chosen field and given the tasks that workers face daily. Most of all, I liked to develop in directing since this way allowed me to use my creative abilities. I was happy to create various options for staging the actors, their actions, camera angles, and etcetera. Creativity is a topic that I definitely liked and which I would like to develop.
As an adult, I realized that money is not my main goal in life. I thought about helping people and supporting my country. In other words, my purpose was to meet the cultural needs of the citizens. I chose this direction because I believe that if a person does what they love, society’s approval, inner satisfaction, and the necessary profit will come to them. I have worked in commercial filmmaking for twenty years as a director assistant. My boss was a wonderful person with whom we shared moral principles and views on work and life. I have achieved success during my career, and I have grown as a person and a professional. Now, I would like to take the place of a mentor since I believe that I have learned hard skills. Filmmaking non-profit activities have inspired me because they link goals to benefit society and apply creativity.
Leadership skills are what I lacked to achieve my goal and becoming a director. I know that some people have innate administration qualities and can apply them when needed. However, I do not have enough of these qualities; therefore, education is the solution. The situation is complicated because each area, organization, or activity requires certain qualities (Rzepka & Bojar, 2020). The teachers at the Leader School are professionals who can learn about a specific situation and help sort it out. I believe that only under strict supervision and a detailed explanation of leadership principles I can achieve success. Possession of specific skills can help a person perform any goal at any age.
Leadership training is essential to achieve my aim of becoming a producer. As a child, I formed an initial idea of ​​my future profession and tried various creativity options. I devoted my adult life to further development, thanks to which I acquired professional and personal growth. At this stage, already in old age, I realized that I did not have enough leadership skills to achieve the goal of becoming a director. I do not want to earn a lot on this, but only do what I love and make the cultural development of society better. My case can inspire students to grow and achieve their goals at any age.
