Spain is one of the leaders in the transportation of goods through ports. That is due to its advantageous geographical location, as well as trade relations, which are established with most countries around the world. One of the most essential ports is in Barcelona. Through it, a considerable number of ships have the opportunity to transport goods not only to or from Spain but also to relocate the received cargo or leave it for storage. The port of Barcelona is known for its safety and advanced technology for loading goods on ships or other means of transport.
First of all, it is necessary to understand that reputation plays a vital role in making decisions on the transport of goods. Barcelona has established itself as one of the most reliable suppliers and guardians of cargo. Despite the general level of crime, the ports are closely monitored by security structures and advanced video surveillance systems (Van der Lugt et al., 2017). In addition, other factors play an essential role, such as other ports that can compete with Barcelona.
However, it is worth noting that the port is the largest and most efficient in terms of loading and security. In addition to the protection of goods, it is also important to note the technology that is responsible for the transfer of goods to another place. Among them, there are extensive facilities that allow moving record-breakingly large cargoes in the shortest possible time (Van der Lugt et al., 2017). Obviously, there are other port cities in the world capable of such actions, but they are located far away from Europe, which does not allow the use of their services or severely limits them. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Port of Barcelona is one of the major transport hubs that connect the ports of Europe and the rest of the world.
