What We Have Achieved and the Problem That We Have Encountered
Motsu, aimed at helping farmers in Botswana, is a non-profit project, which I was engaged in. In the course of working at Project Motsu, I noticed that the project’s popularity in the community has dropped considerably, which had to be attributed to the way in which the members access the acquired information and share it with each other. According to the results of the anonymous survey conducted among the members of the community, Project Motsu lacks cohesion between its various departments and, therefore, faces the threat of losing the track of the key problems that the Botswana farmers face.
Ways to Improve and the Strategies Chosen
After the analysis of the Project Motsu assets, as well as its numerous departments and the cooperation between them, it was stated that the system of knowledge management left much to be desired. According to the analysis results, a number of staff members could not access the latest information, which resulted in the inability to address the needs of the farmers in a specific region. While the organization still provided the poor farmers with the raw materials and equipment that is crucial for farming activities, information concerning specific needs, i.e., the number of equipment items per region, etc., was unavailable, which has posed a threat to the organization’s credibility and efficiency. To solve the complexities, the principle of knowledge sharing has been chosen.

Future Plans
To make sure that the Motsu Project will stay afloat and that the organization will be able to help more farmers in Botswana who have faced tough issues because of the weather conditions and the lack of resources, the following steps are going to be undertaken:
- Making sure that the specific needs of the farmers depending on the area specified are addressed;
- Spreading awareness of the Motsu Project all over the world;
- Making sure that different departments of the company cooperate efficiently and are aware of the actions undertaken by the leaders of various departments;
- Creating a knowledge database to enhance knowledge sharing.
SWOT Analysis
Therefore, it can be concluded that taking part in the Motsu Project was an important experience. It has taught me about the ways in which a non-profitable organization should be run, as well as about the means of acquiring, distributing, processing, and storing information. While the project participants still have many issues to deal with, it is clear now that the project is safe and ready to help the Botswana farmers again.
