The process of the formation of distinctive American culture alongside society, in general, is presented by a series of complex events throughout the country’s history. They can be viewed through the lens of unseen forces guiding them, including the diversity of the population, the patterns of artistic expression, and shared customs (Zimmermann, 2017). Therefore, these components efficiently reflect the way societal and cultural norms of the United States were shaped.
The first aspect of the matter, American society, was significantly affected by the presence of various categories of citizens since the creation of the country’s public affairs. In other words, the initial European immigration, followed by the ongoing development of projects for individuals from other regions willing to move to the United States, served as the main factor providing its basis (Zimmermann, 2017). This condition resulting in the acceptance of diversity was complemented by the fact that, regardless of origin, all Americans celebrate the same holidays, implying the presence of unity (Zimmermanmn, 2017). As for the culture of the United States, the unforeseen forces which affected this aspect were related to the arts as one-third of these products are made there, such as movies and unique music styles (Zimmermann, 2017). Hence, it was influenced by the development of genres spread around the world.
In conclusion, the process of redefining American society was directed by immigration patterns and policies combined with shared customs and traditions. In turn, the cultural aspect of the United States was formed by the creation of exceptional types of artistic products involving citizens from different parts of the world. As a result, these two spheres of life are clearly distinguished from other countries by their variety and, consequently, popularity.
