The United States Army, Marine, and Air Force officers have played significant roles in protecting citizens and the territories of this country. These men have shown patriotism by putting their lives at risk to protect other people. In addition, they have traveled to other countries to restore peace and ensure the rights of civilians are protected. Veteran service representatives play important roles in ensuring the health and safety of these officers are guaranteed. I would like to become a veteran service representative and help other veterans seeking employment of counseling retired officers.
I would like to work as a veteran service representative to support the activities that restore peace in America. America’s invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan in 2006 and 2008 respectively caught the world’s attention due to the damaging allegations that these countries were violating the rights of their citizens and threatening international peace. The spread of Al Qaeda and other criminal gangs was a serious threat to international peace and the rights of civilians.
America had to establish mechanisms to combat the spread of religious extremist groups that promote the destruction of property, injury, and death of innocent civilians. The American Marine and Navy officers put their lives at risk by confronting terror groups and fighting them to restore peace and order. However, these officers experienced severe challenges, including injuries, deaths, and psychological trauma. Working as a veteran service representative is a noble idea that will help Americans to appreciate the roles of retired Marines.
I would like to be a veteran service representative to ensure the injured officers get emergency health care services to recover quickly. A battleground is a risky place, and most officers die because they do not get proper and immediate medical attention.
I would like to offer my services and ensure no Marine or Navy officer dies due to a lack of immediate care. Injuries that cause excessive bleeding in dehydrate patients and expose them to health risks. However, their health can be protected if there is an efficient and quick evacuation system. The injured officers require immediate medical attention to ensure they do not bleed for a long time or feel a lot of pain. I believe my experience will help me to understand the impacts of the injuries sustained on the battlefield and know what is required to manage them.
Secondly, I would like to work as a veteran service representative to counsel recruits and ensure they understand that the bloody scenes that are common in the battlefields should not discourage them from doing their jobs. These officers encounter harrowing scenes that cannot be tolerated by a normal person. Their encounter with death and the gruesome retaliatory acts of their enemies transforms these officers into beasts. The scenes of dead bodies and the passing away of their colleagues affect these officers. Some injuries are graphic, and young officers may suffer mental challenges if they are not counseled properly.
Lastly, I would like to become a veteran service representative to counsel Marine and Navy officers who are unable to integrate and socialize with other members of society. Marines and Navy officers spend a lot of time in the battlefields without visiting family members or friends. They are isolated from their loved ones, and this may affect their socialization behaviors. Some Marines forget their families, while others feel guilty because they think that they have abandoned their loved ones. They perceive other people as enemies and can attack them easily when provoked. I want to help other veterans to understand and appreciate their roles in protecting their country from external attacks.
