The world is changing with a plethora of technological disruptions and social changes happening, which will affect the criminal procedures and the Constitution. Financial crimes, in particular, will probably become more intricate and complex as people begin to use electronic devices, e-money, and internet-based payment systems. The case of Goldman & Sacks about fraudulent information on mortgage papers and the ethical concerns of the Bank of America are prominent examples. The financial crimes of the past have led the state and the rest of the world into a financial crisis, and there is a need to review the procedures for investigating financial fraud and financial crimes to avoid similar scenarios in the future.
Apart from the financial crimes, the government should expect and prepare for the increase of criminal activity, which began after September 11th. Hence, it is vital to invest in resources and professionals capable of addressing this change.
