Introduction

For any business to thrive it must employ personnel with the necessary qualifications that are essential for a particular job description. Without proper screening of the staff that an organization intends to hire, then an organization, and in this case, it is a fast-food franchise will not realize its objectives. Furthermore, with the growing competition in the fast-food industry, also there is a rise in forged documents and counterfeit credentials that candidates provide to secure employment. These candidates are dangerous to an investment; in addition, it denies those candidates that have genuine documents an employment opportunity. This is one opportunity of starting a business to service the needs of employers (Ashlyn, 2005).

Opportunities

The screening business will be working on the verification of educational documents, screening of candidates, criminal background, and others that a fast-food manager may need to know. Another opportunity is that these fast-food franchises do not operate with a huge capital base therefore the screening services will help them to cut on the cost of an internal professional to do the screening. It is cost-effective for these fast-food franchises since this business will be specializing in human resource screening therefore, it will establish a good network for the sole purpose of human resource screening (Evan, & James, 2009).

Objectives and competitors

This human resource screening business will be located in Woodbury, New York. The objectives of the business are to provide service-based business that exceeds the expectations of the managers of fast food establishments and to develop a human resource screening or consultancy business that can sustain itself through its cash flow. Furthermore, the business should be able to grow so that it can compete with its competitors such as Prestige Employee Administrators based in Woodbury, New York, and Essential New York Jobs located in central New York (Dara, & Derrick, 2008).

Benefits of background screening and target audience

Nowadays internet is the main driver behind the development of human resource outsourcing and this has made it possible for small businesses such as fast food industry to afford these services. In doing so, the fast food franchises will benefit greatly through saving time and energy when screening for its intended staff. In addition the web is available at any time therefore, it is easier for the fast food managers and those seeking employment to get help. It is important to note that with efficient screening services available then the problem of employing unqualified personnel who pretend to be qualified will not occur. Our business intends to be efficient and very fast thus satisfying our customers who are the managers and the owners of fast food franchises (Allan, 2007).

Conclusion

Human resource screening is a very important duty that any establishment must not overlook. Through hiring us the fast food establishments will get accurate verification of potential staff at a reasonable cost. These services will include the verification of employment, criminal records, educational documents, and credit risk. Our establishment will ensure that fast food managers receive all these reports in the right format. This will help the fast food establishment to achieve its targets on time and at the same time they will be able to satisfy the needs of its customers. Our services will also help to reduce the cases of false identities that candidates acquire in order to secure employment.
