The proper conduct of nursing practice in health care organizations frequently involves several complicating factors. My organization’s main issue in addressing evidence-based nursing practice relates to infection control. This problem creates additional challenges for nurses and makes it difficult to conduct evidence-based practice. Primarily, this problem creates obstacles to the regular application of the knowledge gained as it creates excessive discomfort for nurses. Moreover, such factors indicate deficiencies in personnel training policies. Improper management may also be one of the causes of the infection control problem (Ellis, 2019). Thus, the organization of infection control, in this case, is a factor that impedes appropriate evidence-based nursing practice and demands the search for a correction.

The first step in addressing this issue demands an organization to define the problem’s severity and impact on the hospital’s functioning. In addition, it is vital to objectively assess the performance of the hospital’s structural unit leaders and staff members. To resolve the infection control problems, the organization needs to improve staff training to prevent spreading of infectious diseases (Ellis, 2019). Furthermore, it is crucial to monitor the safety of hospital personnel and patients. Improving overall safety in infectious diseases is possible by enhancing nursing and medical personnel’s skills. The nursing staff’s knowledge level can be improved by motivating employees to attend training courses. Therefore, it may enhance the theoretical understanding of the nursing team and, at the same time, provide the necessary practical skills to solve an infection control issue. Another way to address the problem is to change the hospital’s administration approach considering the current issues (Ellis, 2019). In general, my organization needs to find appropriate solutions to the infection control issue to organize proper evidence-based nursing practice.
