The endocrine system is one of the vital systems in human’s body; its dysfunctions can cause fatal outcomes to human life. Autoimmune disorders in the endocrine system, in general, are the disorders that occur from the body’s reaction to internal threats. It is part of the immunity process but only involve the body immune system reacting to what is seen as a threat emanating from its system. The site of reaction, in this case, is the body’s endocrine glands and their ability to reverse any development that might affect the body adversely. The higher the level of autoimmunity, the more dangerous it is for the body to stay on the check.

The Process of Autoimmunity

This process is informed and triggered by the antigens of the body turning into the body cells they are expected to protect. For instance, when the need to produce white blood cells arises and an excess of it is produced, then they pose danger to the same body. This process typically happens in an endocrine gland when the body is facing foreign intrusions. The antibodies responsible for fighting harmful foreign bodies will encroach on the body’s antigens making it difficult for the body to remain stable (McCance & Huether, 2014). This necessitates reconstruction and recovery measures that can help the body regain its original state.

How Immunity Occurs in the Endocrine System

The endocrine system safeguards the immune system of any human being. It is through that acknowledgement of the kind and nature of the human immune system that studies have been done on this system. The endocrine system involves a mixture of body fluids and defense antibodies that will fight any foreign object that comes to the body. The body has a high number of endocrine sites in the body, kept in what is known as the lymph nodes. These parts of the human body offer various immunity measures such as the ones brought about when there is a danger of infection. Those that have had an experience of infection into the body will recall the formation of lumps on the nearest joint after the point of infections. The body’s defense system does not allow the infections received to spread throughout the rest of the body (McCance & Huether, 2014). Thus, it is important to have a strong and healthy body for the endocrine system to avail the necessary fluid that will transport the antibodies from these sites to the point where the damage has happened (Nussey & Whitehead, 2013). The more this issue gets to the point of fatalities, the body will at all times be in charge of what goes on from the onset of the developmental progress to the farthest end of healing.

Pathological Changes and Endocrinal Diseases

Pathophysiological disorders refer to the pathology of body organs concerning the way the body responds to the changes that happen when a disease occurs. Those that have experienced an infectious internal organ will get to experience a growing instinct development of what can come out of a patient. The relay of information about such an occurrence that is transmitted from the affected organ through the vertebral and nervous system with much ease.

Pituitary disorders

This endocrinal disease can affect anyone. It happens from the increased overgrowth of the pituitary gland as well a release of excess hormones into the blood stream. This way, the blood is not able to function well through transportation of hormones related to the development of improper living as well as affects the rest of the glands. Human pituitary glands located in the neck make the body grow. The role of the endocrine system, in this case, is to transmit the antibodies that will fight the cause of the overgrown pituitary gland. This is where autoimmunity takes place. The body that seeks to grow better with the emergence of these hormones has to undertake consented growth (McCance & Huether, 2014). Means of making the hormones travel safely from the endocrine glands to the site of the problem will become possible with the occurrence and activity of the endocrinal hormones.

Hyperthyroidism

This disorder affects the thyroid glands in the neck. It is caused by an overgrowth of the same gland and hence the releases of harmful amounts of hormones. The body cannot comfortably take the excess hormones from an overgrown thyroid gland. In such situation, diseases are likely to occur. The safety of the body will be restored when the antibodies from the endocrine glands are released and reach the point of a problem on time (Nussey & Whitehead, 2013). The relay of such information will be fast with the presence of an autoimmune system. The overall health of the human body will determine how fast this will happen.

Prediabetes

This condition precedes the real diabetes. It occurs when the overgrown pancreas secretes too much insulin, the hormone that regulates the sugar level in the body. The victim of this disease will face many immune-related threats. Those who seek to restore their health after this disease have to take supportive medication to boost the already active autoimmune system in case the situation was too severe. The immune system of the body is influenced by all the general health status (McCance & Huether, 2014).

Overall, it can be seen that endocrine system performs its functions through the hormones it produces, which come in all organs and tissues of the body. The value of the functional status of the endocrine system can hardly be overestimated. The spectrum of diseases of the endocrine system caused by functional autoimmune disorders is extremely broad, which requires further research in the field.
