- Jellyfish. Phylum: Cnidaria. Class: Scyphozoa. Free-swimming marine animals with a complex life cycle are found all over the world. They have dangling stinging tentacles used to capture prey (“Jellyfish”, n.d.).
- Ovalipes ocellatus. Phylum: Arthropoda. Class: Crustacea. Widely known as lady crab, ovalipes ocellatus lives in particularly large numbers in the eastern part of North America. It feeds mainly on mollusks and has a wide shell of yellow-gray or purple color for protection from attacks (“Ovalipes ocellatus”, n.d.).
