This symbol has been given values and used to show conflict of thoughts. In this society, Ronnie is the only worst thing but in reality there are people whoa are cheating on their spouse and still can point a finger at Ronnie yet they are cheating.
The unconditional love that Ronnie’s mother shows towards his son is a symbol of life. It is not perfect after all and we have to learn how to protect our families. Ronnie also shows that there is a difference in life when one’s secret transgressions have not been made public. Before that happens, one feels perfect and can only point at others shortcomings. The lies, extra marital affairs are not valued as sins since they are carried out in secret. Ronnie’s life is itself a symbol that signifies the way life is.
