Today domestic violence is a significant problem worldwide. Approximately one third of women experience it at least once throughout their lives (Kisling, 2022). Primordial interventions to prevent that issue are essential, even if they can take time because they apply to the community as a whole. Such measures usually must be encouraged by law and the state by creating conditions that make violence less likely to occur.
Educational programs for young people aim to prevent women and domestic violence by encouraging healthier coequal and partner relationships. In addition, the promotion of social norms against violence and increased penalties for domestic and sexual abuse need to be supported at the legislative level. Employers, teachers, and social workers are responsible for creating a protective environment for their mentees (Kisling, 2022). The most attention must be paid to people who have already committed acts of violence. Specialists from social organizations also conduct additional psychological counseling and evaluation.
Nevertheless, any initiative has challenges at the development level. Unfortunately, the state does not pay enough attention to preventing and controlling domestic violence. The number of societies where a victim of violence has an opportunity to talk to a psychologist is still not enough. Moreover, while educating young people, there is the possibility that they do not pay enough attention or do not take the issue seriously enough.
