Introduction

A computer for the present-day student is an object of prime necessity. The process of contemporary education can not be imagined without Information Technologies. Libraries use computers to catalog the collection of books it has, schools and universities stockpile databases with all necessary information about students and curriculums. Teachers send the home assignments and conduct online consultations by the means of e-mail. Students search for reports and articles in the spaces of the World Wide Web. Computer and IT technologies have got mixed up with our lives, and education is incredible without them. The elder generation still remembers studying, making reports “manually”, by working through whales of literature, writing the texts, and so on.

Main body

The aim of the present essay is to compare the educational process with and without IT. At the present moment, there is no common standard for involving technology in the sphere of education. Some educational establishments make a rather high priority to the implementation of IT. But still, there are schools, where computers are not involved, because teachers do not feel it rather confident enough.

With the development of the Information Era, computerized researches become an integral part of any curriculum. Instead of memorizing information, students are claimed to be able to use electronic search systems in the order they could find necessary data. It is also important to teach students to deal with information overload, which they face in there educational process, and everyday life (newsreels, numerous talk shows, and others), that is why students who are taught to deal with IT and the consequences of such interaction are better prepared for the future life and have sufficient advantage in comparison with their mates, who never deal with computers

The increased access to the internet has sufficiently abridged the availability of publications, necessary for education, researches, and report preparation. Today children can validate the information that they obtain and this is an important skill that must be taught. Needless to say, that children will not be able to obtain specific skills of interacting with IT without using computers in their education. It is also beyond argument, that in the present era of all through the implementation of electronics this experience is of vital importance.

It is also beyond argued, that the use of IT provides sufficient commodities to the process of education and research. Instead of traveling to all the libraries, students are empowered to do the necessary researches in the comfort of their own apartments. Over the past ten years, e-Learning has become a key service offered by most colleges and universities. As a significant innovation of our computerized world, the technology of e-Learning should also be regarded. Advantages could be found on any website which promotes this service. Some of them are: Student is empowered to make a choice, and thus to be prepared in a sphere, which differs from his main specialty; through e-Learning courses, the students get access to various online resources and libraries; it is accessible to everybody, independently on sex, race, religion, and age.

Conclusion

In conclusion, it is necessary to summarize the said above clauses. Computer nowadays is an item of prime necessity. The educational process without IT can not be imagined, as teachers, students, and almost all educational establishments rely on IT in their work. The non-computerized study is a privilege of the past, and no one, in spite of that few arguments against computerization will not agree to part with his/her electronic friend.
