Nowadays, there are many environmental and ethical problems that have been exacerbated over time. However, the most urgent and major problem is the depletion of natural resources. It is formulated by the fact that this problem is a trigger for all other global problems. In addition, it leads to the struggle for territory and resources, in other words, wars and conflicts. It is important to analyze this question in the context of ethical reasoning.
In the future, there may be a situation where the countries will have to fight for such common things today as oil, gas, water, or even clean air. Although today these items, to some extent, formulate the cause of conflicts, there are enough resources. However, this problem leads to the development of other issues: immigration, the struggle for territory, pollution of the environment due to environmentally friendly alternatives, etc.
The problem may be considered in the context of ethical reasoning. This is a theory that involves the development of identification, evaluation, and arguments from a variety of ethical positions (Kernohan, 2020). In other words, it is, to some extent, the process of finding compromises if we consider this issue of resources. The authorities should consider this item not only from the position of benefit but also from the position of moral laws. In such a case, a universal agreement can be reached to solve this problem.
To conclude, it is important to note that some attempts are being made today to resolve this issue. For example, countries are developing the use of sustainable sources of energy and resources. However, in the context of today’s political courses in many countries, this is not enough. It is important to develop a universal solution based on ethical rationale, which would exclude the options for violence.
