The quality of the initial welding provided by the workers has a chance of being substandard and could lead to leakage. Another issue with pipes was noticed too late. The pipes that are located underneath the snow had joints that were not supposed to be there. Such joints are prone to leakage, which would spread over the whole slope and contaminate the area. Sands storms and other weather related issues also provide a challenge to the project.
The project was completed three months late and has gone significantly over budget. However, the team solved all of the technical issues that were present during construction. The final result received a positive response and fulfilled all of the outlined goals.
