A break from the daily operations is normally important for everyone. It is because of this that the annual calendar has set days for weekends and holidays. It is during these days that people can take a break from work or school and relax. A day in the game park is one ideal way of unwinding. However, the fascinating scenery in-game parks are worth being put in memory, thus the need for a camera. Different types of cameras could be used in capturing memorable events in the park. In this case, the infrared camera will be discussed.

The infrared camera was invented during the Korean War for use by the military. The infrared camera is similar to the common camera but instead of using visible light to form images, it uses infrared radiation (Cavnett 1). This radiation is part of the electromagnetic spectrum and is only differentiated in terms of its wavelengths. The infrared radiation used in infrared cameras has a wavelength of 14,000nm (Halliday 67).

This means that the infrared camera can view distant images and be able to produce clear images of the same (Cavnett 1). As such, the infrared camera is, therefore, best suited in the game park because most of the animals are normally in distant places thus not able to get a close-range view. In addition, infrared cameras produce one-colored images since their sensors cannot distinguish different wavelengths. These images are referred to as monochromatic images.

The main advantage of infrared cameras is that they can detect the slightest light and make clear images (Cavnett 1). This has made them useful in taking images in dark areas such as smoke-filled buildings. Infrared cameras are also able to take photos at night unlike other types of cameras, which use visible light.
