The Printing Press
The information revolution is moving the world forward because it has helped people to communicate within a short time. In addition, Johannes Gutenberg explains that the printing press and modern technology have ensured there is the security of information, and unauthorized access to sensitive data has been restricted (Bhaskar 2013). The printing press was regarded as the real revolution because it simplified the challenges that faced other crude forms of communication. This medium of communication-enabled individuals to store messages they receive from others and thus there was no problem looking for references at later dates (Rees 2005). It is necessary to explain that the printing press led to the invention of typing, printing, photocopying, and typing machines that transformed communication and introduced a new dimension to how people interacted.
The Mystery of State
Political scientists believe that the existence of a state signifies the importance of democracy and the sovereignty of countries. A state refers to the system of governance that derives its legitimate power from constitutions (Duber 2012). Most nations conduct their elections to vote for presidents, members of the congress and senate, and other political positions. In addition, it is necessary to explain that individuals believe that their states have the obligation of protecting them from external and internal attacks (Engels 2010). Therefore, they establish consensus to cede part of their rights to their states in return for the fulfillment of inalienable rights. This means that states are sovereign, legitimate, and represent the will of the people. Therefore, there is the need for everybody to respect the rules established by different state bodies to ensure the behavior of all people is governed by similar regulations. John Lock explains that states can sometimes violate the rights of their citizens by establishing rules that hinder them from enjoying their freedom.
