Analysis of results
Jung’s typology test aims to assess how a person views the world, takes decisions, and relates with other people (Engler 2008, p. 85). The results of this evaluation indicate that I am a slightly expressed extravert who seeks interaction with other people and does not like to spend time alone. According to this test, I am not inclined to be very self-reflective. Moreover, judging from the results, I tend to rely more on intuition rather than senses.

This means that in many cases, my decisions are based on intuition rather than only factual information, which can be derived by perception or by reason. Moreover, my perception of the world relies more on feelings and emotions. Finally, according to this test, I am a judging personality, which means that I like to think sequentially and prefer to make long-term plans. I am not a person who likes confusion and ambiguity. Overall, this test enabled me to better understand the motives and factors that affect my decision-making.
In turn, the primary purpose of an emotional intelligence test is to evaluate how a person is able to control and evaluate emotions or behavior. The results of this assessment reveal that I have some essential skills in identifying and expressing feelings. Yet, I still need to elaborate on these skills. In particular, I need to work more on the ability to recognize the emotions of other people. Moreover, I have to learn to put myself in the position of others. This skill is a necessary quality for a person who wants to succeed in personal or professional relations (Covey, 1990, p 252). On the whole, the results of this evaluation have been of great use to me.
I had somewhat conflicting experiences while taking these assessments. First, the Jung Typology Test consisted of more than seventy questions, and they made me think more about my interactions with other people, my way of thinking, and my perception of the world. However, I would like to say that in some cases, it was difficult for me to give only a categorical or Yes/no answer to the questions. In my opinion, scaled items could enable me to describe my behavior in a more specific way. In part, it suggests that my way of thinking, as well as behavior, depends on the situation, and it cannot be described by means of categories such as Yes or No.
In turn, an emotional intelligence test was more specific because it included a rating scale consisting of four items. This test made me take a critical look at my relations with other people, and especially my ability to understand and control behavior as well as emotion. This test appears to be very beneficial. It can show me what kind of communication skills I have to acquire. It has also demonstrated to me why I may have misunderstandings or even conflicts with other people.
Such tests prompt people to be more attentive to their behavior patterns. This ability is also essential for a successful person (Covey, 1990, p 71). While taking this assessment, I understood that it is important to give honest answers because only in this way I would have been able to evaluate my emotional intelligence. Overall, I will be able to find the practical use of these results, and this knowledge will help me in many situations.
