The primary focus of this project was to reconstruct KFC restaurant at Al Ain in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. During this project, new machines were installed at the facility to facilitate electronic transactions as a way of cutting cost, improving efficiency and enhance customer’s experience. This document reviews different plans that the management would need to address.
Change
Change management plan is one of the critical issues that the project planed focused on during the reconstruction process. The management appreciates the fact that the changing environmental forces make it necessary to redesign its operations. The reconstruction aimed at aligning the firm’s operations with the changing trends in the industry.
Communication
Communication management plan was another major concern during the reconstruction process. The management of the KFC restaurant was interested in having a new system that would enhance the communication between different stakeholders in the company.
Configuration
The new system addressed the need to create an effective configuration plan. The company needed a system that integrates activities at different departments so that the top manager can coordinate different activities with ease.
Cost
Cost was one of the defining motivations for the project of reconstructing the KFC restaurant. Although the cost of the project was $500,000, it was expected that its benefits would outweigh the cost. The new system will reduce the number of employees needed at the facility, hence cutting down the cost of operation.
Human Resource

Sourcing for raw materials used in this restaurant was another area of management that had to be addressed under the new system. Given that most of these raw materials are perishable food products, they have to be made available within the shortest time to avoid wastage.
Quality
The reconstruction and improvement of the restaurant also focused on quality management plan. The stiff market competition in this industry requires the restaurant to offer high quality products and services. The project plan has identified steps needed to improve the quality of products that it offers.
Requirements
The success of this restaurant depends on how effective it can meet requirements of different departments within the restaurants. Tracking each deliverable and ensuring that it accomplished at the least cost possible would enhance profitability of the firm.
Risk
Having an effective risk management plan is critical in ensuring that various market forces do not negatively affect the firm. The plan has identified theft, robbery, fire, inflation as some of the main risks that the firm should be ready to address. Having an insurance cover is one of the ways of addressing these risks.
Schedule
Schedule management plans helps in ensuring that different activities are completed within the right time and at the right cost. The project plan has identified ways of assigning tasks and resources to help in ensuring that all activities are completed at the right time and within the set budget.
Scope
Every activity must be completed within a given scope, as define in the scope management plan. The project plan has identified the scope of marketing as Abu Dhabi. The targeted customers are living in or regularly visit the city.
Stakeholder
Stakeholder management plan is the last item in this list. The improvement done in this facility, especially the enhanced communication system, is meant to enhance communication and coordination of different stakeholders within the company.
