Introduction
Developing new and advanced technology has been one of the most important driving forces behind the march of human civilization. It has profoundly impacted how humans communicate, travel, and conduct business. Research and study purposes have been immensely enhanced due integration of new technology, such as the advancement of search engines. However, this has resulted in us becoming more reliant on technology and less capable of surviving without it. The advent and improvement of new technology are crucial to realizing the finite opportunities in the various contexts of society.

The rise of new technology has led to an increase in overall human productivity. The most recent research on technology in the workplace suggests that companies where workers have access to automation tools are 31% more productive overall and that the workplaces of these companies are 33% more likely to be designed with humans in mind (Acemoglu & Restrepo 18). The advocates of technological advancement contend that we are now in a position to conduct research and communicate in ways that were not possible in the past. Using devices while moving around proves that technology has contributed to developing healthier lifestyles. Therefore, new technology is integral in enhancing human productivity.
Communication between people in different parts of the world is now simpler than ever. It is estimated that there is an annual increase in the connection of new devices by 13%, and it is anticipated that 489.1 million wearable devices will be shipped worldwide by the year 2023 (You et al. 53). The development of fast speeds, such as 5G connectivity, makes communication seamless and quick. Using servers and virtual capabilities for synchronization ensures that people can communicate in real time. The enhancement of present technology and innovations, such as wearables, makes it possible to realize a fast and seamless communication experience. New technology makes continuous communication possible, regardless of physical location.
New technology makes education, outreach, and research much more straightforward. It is estimated that 127 devices are connected to the internet every second worldwide (Raja & Nagasubramani 34). The development of search engines allows access to a massive library of information. Sharing information and academic resources is possible and will serve as a valuable reference for students and academics. There are an infinite number of ways in which the advancement of technology has made research and academic activities.
The use of new technology in various contexts has some negatives. The average business environment reveals that the latest technology adversely impacts 15% of individuals (Karintseva et al. 2019). Technology can act as a barrier to learning in different ways. 21% of students use the internet to cheat during examinations, according to a survey conducted by an antivirus company called McAfee (Dyopath, 2019). In addition, students tend to remember less of the information they learn because they know they can access it easily through Internet sources. New technology has made many students lazy to research and depend on it to cheat.
The use of technology has led to depression, mental health, and obesity. Research conducted by the University of Michigan found that using Facebook has decreased happiness and general lifestyle satisfaction (Dyopath, 2019). Depressions are caused by unrealistic expectations from online reality and social comparisons. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 18.5% of American youth are obese. The percentage has risen from 5% in the previous decade (Dyopath, 2019). A lack of physical activity causes it, and many children who use electronics are less physical. However, it is imperative that new technology is essential in various settings and that its benefits outshine the few disadvantages.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the advancement of new and sophisticated technology has been of significant positive influence. The overall quality of our lives has been elevated as a direct result. On the other hand, this increased reliance on technology has reduced our level of independence. There have been improvements in the workplace due to the use of automation and enhanced capabilities of communications. New technology has vastly improved communication, bringing humans closer and reducing the world to a global village. Health implications and laziness due to overreliance have been the negative implications of the new technology.
