New York City has many things to offer. I had the best experience after visiting several places in the city. My first place to visit was Morgan Library and Museum. The most outstanding thing about this library is its architectural design. The building is a good example of the Classical Revival Style. Two lionesses greet every visitor at the entrance. These two lionesses present a sense of power and security. The Palladian arch on the entrance also gives the building a revolutionary feature. The interior of this library offers the best décor. According to me, this interior design is powerful and inspirational. It portrays the greatest achievement in the country’s architecture. The library also features the best bookcases. A good example is the triple-tiers featured in the East Library.
The landscape in this library is also inspirational. Every visitor wants to spend an extra minute in this library and museum. The facility offers some of the best artifacts, artworks, historical materials, and documents. These materials represent the history of New York and the United States of America. The library also offers a huge exhibition space to give enough room for more visitors. The newly constructed reading rooms are admirable because the readers can examine their books and manuscripts in a purely natural light. The new four-story building makes the library complete. The library helps every visitor remember many things about John Pierpont Morgan. The great American philanthropist, financier, and art collector contributed a lot to the country’s history. The collections and exhibitions in this museum are informative and meaningful. Every American who has not visited this famous library has missed many things. I am also planning to visit the Morgan Library again to enjoy its powerful architectural mix.
The other good place to visit in New York City is Roosevelt Island. This small island exhibits some of the greatest architectural designs. American historians consider this island as the home of numerous architectural proposals and competitions. North-town is one of the development projects on the island. This development project features four buildings: Island House, West-view, Eastwood, and River-cross. These buildings are notable because of their Pre-Fabricated Cladding (PFC) systems. The Octagon is another important building on the island. A great architect named Jackson Alexander designed this magnificent building. Most of the buildings and their architectural designs represent the best of New York’s style. Every new architectural style seems to take shape on this island. The future is brighter for this island because more architectural speculations are on the table.
The island’s landscape also captures the best scenes and decorations. The island offers one of the best parks in this city. The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park is also a good place to visit. New buildings are notable because of the South-town establishment. Roosevelt Island offers the best landscape to its visitors. I had one of the best experiences after visiting this island. The architecture on this island is not stagnant. Architects on the island appear to experiment with every new architectural design or idea. This practice makes the island one of the best places to visit. According to me, the island appeared extremely clean and lovable. Every American citizen should visit this island because it has a lot to offer. I learned many things after visiting this island. I have gained new skills and competencies as a future architect. The Urban Development Authority (UDA) should continue supporting the best proposals to make the island admirable.
