The twentieth century was famous, with various outstanding representatives of art and design. Paul Klee was a popular Swiss-German painter and designer (Franciscono, 2023). His family consisted of talented people: his parents were musicians (Franciscono, 2023). Paul Klee graduated from a literary secondary school in Bern, engaging in hobbies such as poetry and plays writing (Franciscono, 2023). Klee wrote precious diaries describing his observations on art and literature (Franciscono, 2023). Then he moved to Munich and entered the private art school of Heinrich Knirr, afterward admitted to the Munich Academy (Franciscono, 2023). Such a development of events inspired him to create masterpieces in unordinary styles and manners.
The works and styles of Paul Klee deserve specific attention and analysis, as they are considered one of the most unique. He did not belong to any movement, but he identified his masterpieces with great artistic tendencies (Franciscono, 2023). Paul Klee created Cubism, using themes of nature, animals, humans, and music, mixing everything with the note of irony, absurd, and humor (Franciscono, 2023). In 1914, after traveling to Tunisia he started to create his first acknowledged masterpieces (Franciscono, 2023). Klee continued to paint after the war, and the world saw his new works from 1919 to 1925 (Franciscono, 2023). In 1930-1932 he started to paint pointillist paintings in a mosaic technique, becoming popular outside Germany (Franciscono, 2023). In 1935 he had to stop his activity because of illness (Franciscono, 2023). One of his most famous works was “Room Perspective with Inhabitants” (Franciscono, 2023). Painted with pencil and deeply colored with oil painting, this artwork depicts the room constructed with cubical furniture parts. The forms in the painting are mostly flat and humans seem to be placed on the floor, but it is an illusion of three-dimensional technique.
