Introduction

Leadership is an essential part of building a career and life. To understand the essence of leadership, it is worth studying different approaches and styles to identify one’s personal style. Creating one’s own philosophy helps one achieve one’s goals and create an environment for it. For an effective leader, it is necessary to understand how this system works and how to direct actions so that they actively influence personal actions.

Core Values

Personal leadership should be based on values that help shape decisions and understand the interaction of these elements. Collaboration, transparency, empathy, and integrity are the values that help me create a comfortable environment for myself and in communication with people. Honesty, for me, is a key aspect of effective leadership and helps a team (Collins et al., 2020). Such actions ensure transparency within the team and consistency in interactions at work. Building trust and open communication in the workplace fosters a safe environment. Empathy will help me understand everyone around me. Finally, collaboration emphasizes that each team member is an integral part of the whole process.

Mission and Vision Statement

The mission of a leader is to reveal subordinates’ potential and help them realize it by creating a comfortable environment. In this way, it is possible to achieve the disclosure of the creative development of the person and personal growth within the team. The ongoing development and training of people are essential for effective leadership. A special mission is to implement a corporate culture where everyone feels valued. It is essential for me that the team I lead not only achieves the set goals but also contributes to the development of each team member.

Clifton Strengths Assessment Analysis

This analysis provides clear information regarding the particular combination of talents, skills, and strengths. My strengths as a leader are strategic thinking, communication, empathy, and adaptability. All these strengths primarily ensure my development as a leader and help me develop clear plans.

Strategic thinking helps create plans and guide step-by-step change along the path to achieving the set goal. Effective communication affects the distribution of cases between the team and helps address potential obstacles. Empathy helps create a bond within the team and helps overcome conflicts that can arise in the workplace. Adaptation serves as a driving force during changes and stressful situations.

Key Behaviors

Continuous improvement is an essential skill for an effective leader, especially in leadership positions. Conflict resolution and delegation are the main behaviors I need to improve immediately. Effective leadership requires strong delegation skills to provide the team with everything they need. Additionally, it enables resource optimization and enhances collaborative efforts within the team (Nurses share leadership lessons, n. d.). Achieving a harmonious environment hinges on adept conflict management, thereby enhancing the work atmosphere and interpersonal relationships among team members.

Development Plan

A step-by-step approach is the key to improving the skills I need. To do this, one needs to analyze one’s strengths and weaknesses to identify the gaps that need improvement. Moreover, to yield effective outcomes, considering the team’s opinions is worthwhile as it can contribute to professional development (Walden University, 2014). This requires constant feedback and the sincerity of the people around me, so that I can qualitatively understand what progress has been made. In addition, training programs or conferences will help learn new solutions and develop new strategies.

When it comes to conflict resolution, it is essential to improve listening skills, as this will help one better understand the problems people are facing. In unforeseen situations, it is essential to listen to all parties to understand the reasons for the conflict and avoid this irritant in the future (Broome & Marshall). To avoid workplace conflicts, it is necessary to create an environment where employees can freely express their opinions and discuss all work processes. In addition, it is essential to receive personal feedback on my work to help me avoid internal conflicts and develop my skills.

Achieving the Personal Vision

Incorporating Ms. Courtney’s insightful opinion and her strengths in the themes of learner, positivity, individualization, responsibility, and arranger uniquely position her as a leader capable of fostering a comprehensive approach to implementing personal views across all levels of duties. The commitment to being a learner, as highlighted by Ms. Courtney, aligns seamlessly with the need for continuous improvement, especially in healthcare, where the landscape is constantly evolving

Conclusion

By focusing on strengthening delegation and conflict resolution, I aim to create a positive, empowering work environment that aligns with my leadership style and my vision for organizational success and individual development. Leadership is a journey of self-discovery and growth, and through this philosophy, I am committed to evolving as a leader to inspire and uplift those around me. Creating an effective leader is primarily about understanding the team and continuous professional growth.
