Monitoring the project is rather crucial for further progress and successful results. The outcomes of a certain task may influence future research and service in healthcare. Thus, it is important to assess, control and maintain the progress and search for needed changes to the management method, if there are any. The following paper will review the process of project monitoring and the aspects that can be related to this action.

Primarily, it is important to review the importance of proper project management. Low-quality execution may lead to unpleasant outcomes that vary from the lack of the required value to medical errors (De Castle & Dykes, 2021). As opposed to daily operations, projects are defined by specific start dates, deadlines, and required resources. Proper project management is important for fulfilling tasks, simplifying changes, and sending the needed updates that were made easier by involving information technology in the process. Moreover, it helps include systems that review time, budget and consider the customer’s expectations of quality. While IT facilitates the execution of the projects, project management assists with achieving the goals of health technology. Thus, this progress and information technology are equally important for successful projects.

As it happens with any other process, project management involves its own complications. Constraints are known as obstacles to the successful and proper completion of the project. One of the main constraints includes budget, as it is rather important to stay in line with the sum that was set and consented to by the medical facility’s chief finance officer (SpringerPub, n. d.). To ensure the consideration of said limits and avoid any problems, it is advisable to create a plan. Moreover, said plan may help with depicting specific details, which include the time and location of the project. That way, it will be possible to review and assess its certain features.

Another aspect of project management that may be useful for guaranteeing successful outcomes is a concept known as the Iron Triangle. It is used to depict the main objectives for achieving the required results. The concept’s importance is emphasized by its consideration of the aforementioned constraints, such as deadlines, budget, quality, and performance (ResearchGate, 2018). This aspect demonstrates the correlation between each of the elements and how issues with one may damage the other two. While there are still debates on the specific elements of the Iron Triangle, it is undoubtedly perceived as a valid method of reviewing successful project performance.

Finally, there are reasons to believe that sustainability may be crucial to project management and monitoring as a whole. Some of the aspects of sustainability may assist with improving the value of the project and increasing productivity (Silvius et al. , 2017). It is necessary for the project manager to preserve this feature throughout their work. However, the methods of execution are yet to be reviewed in the future, as the amount of data is insufficient.

In conclusion, monitoring a project plays an important role in project management. Low quality execution of such works may lead to a broad range of serious consequences, with the worst being medical errors. Project making involves risks and limits as well, and both need to be assessed and monitored to avoid mistakes, deadline delays, and productivity issues. Sustainability plays an important role as well, as it can help increase the latter and improve the value of the said project. However, the data regarding its execution is currently insufficient. Thus, the aforementioned information further emphasizes the complex nature of monitoring and project management.
