Raytheon Professional Services is a business that provides managed-to-learn plans and technology solutions for companies or organizations that can be commercial, government, or military. They have experience and focus in fifteen different industries and are especially well-versed in performance consulting, technology-led solutions, and facilitating training that is specially created for a firm (Raytheon Technologies, 2021). Their primary service, managed learning, offers expert-made analysis, design, application, and management of training programs that are oriented around the company’s business goals. These programs include content development, tools for measurement and evaluation, vendor management, training delivery and administration, and product launches. From the technological side, RPS does not provide any specific product of software or hardware but selects its technological tools based on the client firm’s needs and work culture.

Outsourcing to RPS has multiple advantages that are especially useful for a large company. The package that is provided by RPS covers a lot of ground, from the initial program planning to its implementation and evaluation. Additionally, the program is scalable and adjustable, which means that with growth, the training will also improve and continue to be useful and not stagnant. Because of RPS’s reach into different industries over multiple countries, collaboration is key in their programs promoting development outside the firm in the future, with foreign clients or businesses. However, RPS programs also have some disadvantages and can be largely ineffective for a smaller business. The training programs are designed for large-scale companies, as such, a localized and smaller business would not be able to afford such a specialized program. If a team that needs training is small, it may be more cost-effective to develop a program within the company. Though RPS is familiar with multiple industries, certain businesses, such as those in more creative-driven industries, are unlikely to benefit from this.
