Apple is a corporation that has been around for many years and creates products known to many people worldwide. Apple has created many products, including phones, tablets, and laptops, which are widely used nowadays. As one of the most well-known and effective brands in its marketing, Apple, located in a core country of the United States, must find financially efficient solutions for its production and sales.
The production of Apple Corporation, a company that began in the United States of America, has been taking place in China for many years. The labor force in China is relatively cheaper to manufacture than in the United States, as the cost of labor, sourcing of materials, supplies, and much more is reduced. This is due, firstly, to the size of the population, and secondly, to the education and qualifications available. Labor costs in China have always been somewhat lower, especially in medium-sized cities (Naftali, 2021). Thus, it is profitable for Apple to use China as a production site in order to reduce costs. This allows Apple to pay average wages to its employees, ship goods wholesale to different countries from a convenient location in China, and sell in countries around the world where demand for Apple products is high.
At the same time, the production of electronics in China is at a very high level, which allows for maintaining the quality standard required by Apple. This shows how developed companies use periphery or semi-periphery states for their own purposes. Such use of other countries allows to reduce costs, but at the same time, it is not an objective sign of national discrimination since, thanks to Apple’s factories, it creates many jobs in China.
In conclusion, the fact that Apple provides jobs eliminates the question of unethical news, as Apple uses China as a cost-effective solution to optimize production. Companies that exist and operate in a competitive market of electronic gadgets and other goods are forced to compete with each other and minimize costs for financial efficiency. Apple uses resources from different countries to fully optimize the processes.
