Recently, a new idea for promoting the creation of disabled people was advanced. The real magazine offers an opportunity to exhibit disability artworks via online platforms and printed issues. The main advantage of the innovation is attributed to the fact that it not only popularizes creativity but also contributes to acquiring essential life skills, such as planning, completing a task, and selling artworks. Thus, this program may be beneficial for disabled people and prove profitable in the long run.
The incentive is introduced by the organization Real, which is run by the physically challenged people aiming to provide opportunities for individuals like them. Its main slogan, which describes its activity, is “disabled people working together for real choices” (Real: About us, n. d., para. 1). The venture has the purpose of securing income via selling original works of art. The organization aims to provide their help in selling the paintings and other products to provide the participants with the necessary confidence and support in the realization of the incentive (Real: About us, n. d.). The incomes are divided into three parts: the first one comprises almost half of the profit and is sent to the authors, while the second one is intended to promote Real. The third one is 1%, which refills the finds on providing art groups with supplies (Real: About us, n. d.). The competent running of finances is crucial in this project, as high demand is anticipated. There is a high likelihood of success for the Real magazine, as corresponding programs gained recognition and popularity.
These days, it is a common sight that disabled people struggle to communicate with other individuals, which leads to isolation from society. People occasionally refuse to communicate with individuals with disabilities. In this case, the art presents an opportunity to conversate and unite people regardless of their physical state. It contributes to accepting the differences of people and supplying the chance to express themselves. In addition, headships with employment are widespread among physically challenged people. They are highly likely to find their career path in art, as this activity may be flexible and adaptive to their peculiarities. Thus, the program may be beneficial for the disabled people in numerous aspects.
