Science is one of the most basic forms of society’s culture, and its development is an essential factor in the renewal of all spheres of human activity. Modern science forms a person’s worldview, is closely connected with technological progress, and helps to solve the problems facing humanity. Cottingham (2021, p.434) stated that action to achieve a goal is present in things that arise and exist. This means that science helps people find their goal and achieve it. One of the advantages of science is that it provides new knowledge to study, and unique views. Another advantage is the expansion of the subject field of philosophy of science, which allows for the analysis of ideological and social problems of science.
There are some limitations of science; for example, it is impossible to analyze what cannot be measured directly or indirectly. People are forced to constantly base themselves on the basics in order for science to work for their benefit (Cottingham, 2021, p.439). In addition, science has a restriction in the analytical dimension, but it is solved with the help of new technologies. These technologies were invented with the help of exact science.
The tools of philosophy and analytical processes helped to establish and correctly present the views of various thinkers. For example, according to Aristotle, the movement stopped when the force ceased to act on the body. Everything that people do is for the sake of achieving goals (Cottingham, 2021, p.433). Sometimes philosophy is called the lax reasoning of scientists at the forefront of their science. For example, the arguments of physicists about multiple universes and other dimensions, the existence of which have not been proven and are still poorly verifiable.
