A blog on kidney disease serves as a place where all relevant information on kidney disease is gathered together, including reasons for development, methods of treatment, clinical trials, and kidney donation and transplant programs. As a rehabilitation counselor, I would be interested in the rehabilitation potential of patients who underwent transplantation operations and are returning to normal life. The blog provides the results of clinical trials that should necessarily be considered before setting down to the task of determining the rehabilitation potential of specific patients (Kidney Today blog). Moreover, the potential of rehabilitation is viewed in connection to the post-COVID syndrome that many people experience nowadays.
The second essential element of this blog is the opportunity to get to the latest research in my field and see what rehabilitation methods promise the best results. Depending on whether the task is to rehabilitate a patient with chronic kidney disease or a patient who has just been operated on, rehabilitation methods would be different. Thirdly, there is a possibility to choose topics that would be interesting for one’s profession and disregard those that have no visible connection to one’s field of work or study.
I enjoyed reading the blog very much, especially the newly adopted provisions that help combat the disease as it relates to my field. The blog is well-structured and contains information useful for patients, doctors, and researchers. Moreover, there is a possibility to raise funds through donation programs for patients who need urgent transplantation. Uniting patents and specialists in one place, the blog invites open discussion as to the prospects and treatment methods of kidney disease, which makes it especially relevant in these pandemic times.
