What specific information is provided that may be considered part of the pre-employment process?

In BP, ExxonMobil and Wal-Mart, there are tabs on their websites that deal with careers. Under these tabs, there is information that tries to influence the jobseeker into getting affiliated with the company. One of the issues provided is training. The training process is regarded as one of the main issues in the pre-employment program. This is because the companies claim that through training of several months, a recruit will be in a position of working for them.

The training process is therefore seen as the information leading the job seekers into the pre-employment process. The assurance of training before joining the company is one of the most significant pieces of information for the jobseeker. Although there are differences in the specifications of the training period, the companies have an assurance that the joining persons will be taken through the pre-training program. The companies also offer the process through which job seekers may apply for the posts available. This means that the companies and the management team have processes that are required to be followed by jobseekers in order to get a chance to work for the Fortune Global 500.

The companies also have information about the availability of jobs for inexperienced individuals like graduates and students. It, therefore, means that since the students and graduates fresh from schools don’t know much about the companies’ activities, they have to be trained. There are also lists of available jobs that ensures that the applicants are aware and well prepared when sending applications into the vacant positions. There is also a specified joining time for the jobseekers. This makes them prepared and the company well set for training the new entrants. For this reason, the information regarding the training opportunities, job chances and other information pertaining to recruitment exercise makes it easy for the jobseekers to get better opportunity to gain access as companies’ employees.

Which of these companies does the best job of pre-employment socialization through its website? Why do you think so?

Among the companies selected, BP is the company that does the best socialization initiative. This is because the company offers the best in terms of job specifications and also has a well-illustrated page for the jobseekers. Within the job page, there is information about the available jobs and also how to apply. In addition, the company has a lead into the available jobs and for this reason, the jobseekers are offered a chance to apply with the company and hence establish a firmer connection.

The BP Company offers the job seeker information pertaining to the application process. This makes it easier for the job seekers to know how to apply and hence creates a good relationship with the jobseekers irrespective of their academic background. In addition, the company offers programs for students and fresh graduates. This means that the company does not offer discriminatory jobs. It offers jobs to individuals who are perceived to be trainable.

BP is therefore one of the best companies in terms of socialization in terms of job creation and the pre-employment process. It ensures that by visiting the company’s website, one gets the opportunity of realizing the expectations and the requirements for getting the job.

Since the company allows for inexperienced persons to be part of their employees, there are training programs that have been set aside by the company to ensure that the employees are well trained for the jobs. The other companies do not offer substantial information pertaining to the recruitment process. They disregard some aspects of socialization and especially Wal-Mart despite being in the first position of the fortune Global 500. The BP company is therefore one of the best among the three Fortune Global 500 selected for this survey.
