Proposal Information
The management board of St. Mary’s Wildcat hospital is conscious of the surging number of patients in its increasing hospital facilities as a result of improved and affordable services. However, the increase in patient admission number has elicited challenges on billing staff particularly when patients line up in large numbers. So, the tenacity of this proposal is to establish the requirements of an enterprise solution for patient billing through a standardized format. In tandem with this, It is thus upon the management of St. Mary hospital to fix the feasibility of this patient billing software in order to endorse its purchase and implementation.
Proposal Format
Response to this proposal should be received not later than 31st July, 2011, however, in case of circumstances where a vendor cannot meet the deadline; a written explanation should be forwarded to the hospital management for prompt consideration.
Enterprise Information
St. Mary’s Hospital is a non-profit organization serving the community of Michigan. Major services offered by the hospital include; neuroscience, geriatric, psychiatry and surgical services. Besides, apart from medical services, the hospital is involved in community outreach programs, donations and child care services.
Hardware and Software Environment
St. Mary’s, of acquiring a billing information system to aid it executed its services efficiently. It is anticipated that, patient billing system will improve the existing system, thus, simplifying the long process involved in the current system. Hence, the new system will shorten transaction processing and save patients long queues.

The patient billing system is considered to be flexible in the sense that it will allow precise capture of patients payment details and generate reports at the end of a transaction. This is because; the system has the capacity to allow modification basing on existing situations without incredible impact on the hospital’s operations.

The system will be able to execute managerial functions and support web-based technology which will simplify prompt records update.
